    A Muslim father has failed to persuade a judge to rule his sons should be circumcised.

    The man argued that circumcision would be in accordance with his religious beliefs. But the boys' mother, who is separated from their father, disagreed.

    At a Family Court hearing in Exeter, Mrs Justice Roberts said the boys, who are six and four, should first reach an age where they can make the decision for themselves.

    Reggie N Bollie have apologised to fans amid anger at their 15-minute show at Cornwall beach bar The Watering Hole.

    "Sincere apologies to our fans who wanted us to play longer yesterday,we were booked to perform 6 songs. You were such an energetic crowd," the X Factor runner-ups said on Twitter, external.

    The Watering Hole in Perranporth also apologised, external and has offered free tickets to a future event.

    An MP says a man staging a protest on the roof of her home in Cornwall over the "injustice" of fathers' rights is putting himself at risk and could be hurting his own case.

    An investigation into a train crash at Plymouth said a driver saw the rear of the stationary train and was "surprised" to see it so close to the west end of the platform.

    The investigation report, external said: "He looked at the tracks to confirm which route the train was taking and, realising a collision was imminent, applied the emergency brake."

    A train travelling from Penzance to Exeter collided with another train on platform six just after 15.30 BST on 3 April.

    The six-song show at the bar was an "absolute joke" and an "absolute rip-off" said other fans of the rappers.

    "We are absolutely devastated and extremely disappointed," said the bar which charged £22 a ticket. Reggie N Bollie apologised to fans who "wanted us to play longer", but said they were booked to perform six songs.

    A man has appeared in court in connection with an assault on an elderly man on a mobility scooter at the weekend.

    The disabled 90-year-old, who is from Torquay, was allegedly attacked on Saturday outside a shop in the town's Union Street.

    Devon and Cornwall Police, external said a 42-year-old local man had been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

    Torquay United player-manager Kevin Nicholson has admitted his side did not know they had secured National League safety until they had left the field after their win at Bromley.

    They are now seven points clear of the relegation zone, having been 12 points adrift of safety in February.

    Susan van de Ven, a friend of the Polge family, says the death of the junior doctor, Rose Polge, is "absolutely devastating".

    The Liberal Democrat county councillor for Melbourn, where the Polge family lives, said: "It's an enormous loss for so many people, and not least the loss of Rosie herself - for the life she had ahead of her. 

    "My thoughts are of course with her family and her friends."

    A signaller misjudged the space available on the platform for two trains that collided in Plymouth, an initial investigation has found.

    A train travelling from Penzance to Exeter collided with another train on platform six just after 15.30 BST on 3 April.

    The Rail Accident Investigation Branch initial findings, external found the signaller believed there was enough space for both trains on the platform.

    About 35 people were injured.
