Police are urging drivers to avoid heading east on the A30 around Bodmin after a serious crash involving four vehicles.

Officers say even though the westbound carriageway has now reopened, the tailbacks combined with bank holiday traffic are causing gridlock on roads off the A30.

Our reporter Christine Butler told me it's a major problem: "I've just come through a country lane and they're treating it as though it is actually the A30 and they're racing through at such a pace, an accident is going to happen there."
