    Torquay United boss Kevin Nicholson says striker Brett Williams reminds him of former Manchester United and Tottenham forward Dimitar Berbatov.

    Williams, 28, moved to Plainmoor this summer after leaving Forest Green.

    "You watch him every day in training, the guy is just talented," Nicholson told BBC Sport. "He makes everything looks easy, he's got that way about him, that Berbatov swagger than can sometimes look a bit lazy, but it's just because he's got such confidence in his ability."

    A Canadian mining company with a permit to mine at South Crofty says the site could reopen again within five years.

    The CEO and President of Strongbow Exploration says it will take two to three years to "de-water" the mine, then they will look at re-equipping shafts to reach the minerals.

    Richard Williams claims the company has capital, but there are environmental hurdles including how to discharge water from the mine.

    The rules governing the use of drones in the UK are "largely fit for purpose" according to the British Model Flying Association (BMFA), but new users need to be "educated and informed".

    Manny Williamson, development officer at the BMFA, made the remarks in light of a police investigation into what officers are calling a "near miss" with a passenger plane between St Columb Major and Newquay Airport on Tuesday.

    Devon and Cornwall Police are looking for the operator of the drone.

    Extra precautions are being taken to keep a lynx - which escaped from his enclosure and was on the run for three weeks - in his cage.

    Dartmoor Zoo director Benjamin Mee said: "We're working on putting a mesh roof on the outside of Flaviu's enclosure.

    "Although he escaped by chewing his way through the wooden house, which surprised everybody, the old lynx had an open-top enclosure and it didn't jump... but with this guy, I'm not taking any chances."

    • A drone and a Flybe aircraft carrying 62 passengers had a "near miss" as it came in to land at Newquay Airport
    • Police say they still don't know who was operating the drone and are appealing for help to find them
    • The plane was coming into land at Newquay on Tuesday just before 15:00
    • It was around two miles south of the runway and flying at 900ft when the pilot reported a "near miss" with a drone which flew alongside the aircraft
    • The police were informed and a search was carried out in the area but neither the drone nor it's owner could be found

    The 23-year-old from Newlyn, who featured in all three of England's wins over Australia on tour in June, will certainly miss Exeter's three pre-season games and their opening Premiership games against semi-finalists Wasps and champions Saracens.
