    "It's hard to believe but this time last year I was getting up at seven o'clock to flip eggs in a bar."

    That's Angel Flukes, from Saltash, who has just won Supertalent - Germany's version of Britain's Got Talent.

    "I have always wanted this, it's been my dream since I was a little girl," said Flukes who won 100,000 euros (£85,200).

    She now wants to capitalise on her success with a single, album and tour and she hopes to become better known in England.

    "I am not some 20-year-old wannabe, I want to grow this into a career," she said. "My dream has come true and it's unbelievable."

    National Coastwatch Institution volunteers in St Ives have a new aid to help them keep an eye on sea users in the Hayle Estuary.

    The view to Hayle from the lookout is often obscured in bad weather, or out of sight altogether, so a webcam has been set up on Hayle Towans to allow volunteers to see what's happening.

    A 28-year-old former bar worker from Cornwall has won Germany's version of Britain's Got Talent.

    Singer Angel Flukes from Saltash won Supertalent 2016 and 100,000 euros (£85,200). 

    She sang Think Twice by Celine Dion in front of an estimated five million TV viewers in Germany.

    Flukes, who was working in a Mallorca bar last year, said she did not expect to win and would be spending some of her winnings on a wedding next year.

    A property in Tiverton has been locked up by the police because the residents were causing considerable problems for their neighbours, a council says.

    Police and the local housing service obtained a closure order at Exeter Magistrates' Court, which means the property at Westexe South will be shut for three months.

    Mid Devon Council said there were serious anti-social behaviour issues at the property, and it had to take a "firm stance to ensure that a community is protected".

    Plymouth Argyle say they have sold nearly 2,000 tickets in an hour, external for their FA Cup third-round tie at Liverpool after they went on sale this morning.

    The team say they have been allocated 8,633 tickets for the match at Anfield, external on Sunday 8 January. They are currently only on sale to members. The remainder go on general sale on 3 January.

    They secured the match after Graham Carey's extra-time penalty ensured they won their replay at Newport County on Wednesday.

    The team said things had been "extremely busy", and asked for fans' patience if they were having difficulty securing tickets.

    Paul Goldie has first hand knowledge of what it's like to be homeless - so he's helping dish up breakfast for the homeless and lonely in Redruth on Christmas Day.

    Paul found himself "with just a suitcase and a bin-bag" after he was made redundant and his marriage broke up.

    His big break was meeting Christoper Watts who put him up in a shared house for free until he found a job.

    Paul, who is now canteen manager at food firm Tulip in Redruth, will be dishing up at Gweal an Tops Centre, on School Lane between 9:30 and 11:30.

    "It will be great to give people a meal and just give them someone to talk to," he said.

    Newport County have been forced to reduce the away allocation for their next two home games after 195 seats were damaged during their FA Cup replay defeat by Plymouth.

    Pilgrims fans celebrating caused the floor to give way in the stand behind one goal, leaving broken seats. Newport have called in engineers but do not expect the work to be completed until the new year.

    Home ties against Portsmouth and Exeter will be affected.

    A burglar from North Devon jailed after being filmed on CCTV carrying out his crime, external at a victim's home has been caught in the act before.

    Twenty-two-year-old Ross Wyborn, from Barnstaple, was jailed for 876 days by a judge at Exeter Crown Court after admitting burgling a house on Salem Street in the town, which he was captured on CCTV doing whilst the occupants were asleep inside.

    He was previously jailed for burglary in 2014 after being caught red-handed ransacking a farm worker's caravan when the worker came home for lunch, the Exeter Express & Echo reported, external.

    Police have relaunched an investigation - over a man that has been missing for 25 years.

    Richard Gregory lived in Thornhill Road, Derby, and was 40 years old when his brother reported him missing after he failed to return from a holiday in March 1991.

    Financial checks showed he had withdrawn money from his bank account while in Plymouth in April that year. In the same year, he was issued with a passport that was never renewed. 

    Officers at Derbyshire Police have now commissioned an artist's impression of how Mr Gregory may look now, aged 65.

    A man has been treated for burns to his arms after a fire broke out in a building which contained a blacksmiths and flats in Plymouth, emergency services say, external.

    Crews were called to the scene in Albert Road at about 19:00 on Thursday, which left the building severely damaged.

    An investigation is under way.

    Truro City manager Lee Hodges has praised the way Andrew Neal has adapted to life in National League South.

    The forward joined City from South West Peninsula League side Bodmin Town in the summer and has scored eight goals, including four in the last five games.

    "It took him a little bit of time to settle and get used to it. But over these last few weeks he's starting to find his feet and with his work rate he's also adding the goals to that which is great," Hodges said.

    Former homeless man Paul Goldie will be serving up a breakfast to homeless and lonely people in Redruth on Christmas morning.

    A Christmas morning fry-up will be served up to anyone who needs some company in Redruth and Camelford in Cornwall thanks to the teams from Community Christmas Breakfasts.

    Paul, 48, who is now canteen manager at food firm Tulip in Redruth, said he wanted to help because of his first hand knowledge of the plight of homeless people.

    "I was a furniture maker and got made redundant and things spiraled down," he said.

    His marriage broke up and he ended up sleeping rough for three months.

    Police in North Devon are appealing for a man who helped at a collision on Old Bideford Road in Barnstaple last Sunday evening to come forward.

    A 91-year-old woman died as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash. Margaret Pine was a passenger in a vehicle which collided with a brick wall in thick fog.

    Two other elderly women in the car were seriously injured and remain in hospital.
