    Footage showing the moments leading up to the incident in which former Plymouth-based Royal Marine Sgt Alexander Blackman killed a Taliban fighter has been released.

    The three helmet-cam clips were released by the Ministry of Defence after a request, led by the BBC on behalf of several other media groups.

    Gunfire from an Apache helicopter can be heard in the footage.

    Known as Marine A, Blackman was sentenced to life by court martial in 2013, but an appeal is due next week.

    The Police and Crime panel will meet today to discuss plans to take on more officers, increase council tax and cut the number of PCSOs in Devon and Cornwall.

    There's been fierce criticism of the Police and Crime Commissioner Alison Hernandez after she revealed her plans before they were approved by the panel.

    She wants to cut the number of PSCOs by 200, increase council tax and recruit 100 new police constables.

    • Buses are replacing trains between Liskeard and Looe due to earlier flooding
    • All sailings of the St Mawes Ferry have been cancelled due to the weather conditions
