In Cornwall, the A39 near Wadebridge, between the A389 and Winnards Perch is blocked in both directions due to a road crash.
Thieves have stolen a charity collection box from a Charlestown landmark.
The cash tin was secured in a huge tree stump carved in the image of Neptune the Sea God outside a house in Charlestown Road, but was ripped out on Easter Sunday.
Jason Miller, who owns the tree and cash box in the village near St Austell, has collected almost £7,000 for Children's Hospice South West since 2011. He said he thought there could have been up to £200 in the box at the time of the theft.
The United States Air Force has confirmed that its jets were flying over Cornwall, external after it was reported four horses, scared by the low-flying planes, had to be shot.

Plymouth Argyle's victory over Newport and promotion to League One is "overwhelming", captain Luke McCormick says.
The Pilgrims were promoted yesterday after they beat Newport 6-1 at Home Park. The club have spent six seasons in League Two.
McCormick told BBC Radio Devon: "It's overwhelming really, we've been trying to do this for certainly the last three years and even before that.
"The club's been through some real tough times and this is the other end of the scale. The fans on the pitch in front of me, they deserve it more than anything."
Police are continuing their appeal for witnesses after a man was stabbed near a children's play park, external.

The reason is that the board wants a permanent UK-based residency of the managing director, and the outgoing one can't sign up to that for family reasons.

A window and doors conman from Hayle has been jailed for fraud after taking cash from vulnerable, elderly victims and not completing the work.
Magistrates in Truro heard that 36-year old Liam Hawkins had deliberately targeted vulnerable residents, taking cash from them - in one case more than £3,000 - for work he failed to complete.
Hawkins, of Trelissick Road, claimed he was in "dire straits" because he was "locked in the talons" of a loan shark who threatened him and his family, the court was told.
He admitted one count of fraud by false representation and was found guilty of two other counts. He was jailed for 38 weeks, of which he is expected to serve 19 weeks and then remain on licence, and was ordered to repay more than £4,500 to his victims.

A stabbing is understood to have taken place at a McDonald's restaurant in Torquay "in the early hours of yesterday morning".
Police said a man has been arrested after a hammer attack and a stabbing in Torquay. The stabbing is thought to have occurred at the town's Bridge Retail Park branch of McDonald's early on Monday.
The fast food giant said: "The restaurant was closed from around 1am allowing the police to carry out necessary enquiries and has since re-opened. We are continuing to assist the police with its investigation and cannot comment further at this time."
A man was arrested in Newton Abbot and in custody in Torquay, police said.

Devon MP Gary Streeter has supported the Prime Minster's call for a snap general election.
Theresa May has announced plans to call a poll on 8 June. She needs Parliament's backing to hold a vote before the next scheduled date of 2020.
South West Devon Conservative Mr Streeter said the snap poll would help settle many issues raised since the Brexit referendum "for once and for all".
He said the government needed a strong mandate to "get the detailed Brexit legislation through".
He added: "I think the Prime Minster's call is the right thing for the government, and for the country, and off we go. People will have to make up their minds."

The children of Plymouth Argyle chairman James Brent asked him to get his team to stop scoring so many goals against Newport because it was "embarrassing" for their opponents, he says.

Explaining the decision, Mrs May said: "The country is coming together but Westminster is not."

Hotel and B&B owners have been totting up the takings for the Easter weekend amid renewed concerns that Airbnb is having a negative impact on more traditional accommodation.
Tourist bosses said that, although the good weather helped, there was a feeling it hadn't been as busy as expected.
Malcolm Bell, from Visit Cornwall, said there were so many Airbnb properties "swamping the market" that the industry as a whole was being damaged. He pointed out that it was "affecting traditional B&Bs who have to abide by the rules and pay the taxes".

Four people were injured in a serious road collision in west Cornwall on Easter Sunday, police say, external.
Officers said a Daihatsu Hijet and a Ford Ka collided head-on between Newbridge and St Just, on the A3071, at about 12:30 on Sunday.
The Daihatsu driver, a 58-year-old woman, sustained serious leg injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Her female passenger was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske, with minor injuries.
The two occupants of the Ka, a 63-year-old man driving and his 88-year-old female passenger, were taken to Treliske with minor injuries.
All four are local to the Penzance and St Just area. The road was closed for six hours for a police investigation.
