The BBC's biggest survey of the attitudes of 16 to 22-year-olds finds a generation wanting to fight back against a perception they're "lazy".
People we spoke to include Charlotte Danks, who's from Newquay, who said young people needed an opportunity.
She decided to start her own business selling cut-price food to locals after being laid off repeatedly.
The 22-year-old said she always wanted a career where she could help her community.

If you're not too fond of eight-legged creepy crawlies, then look away now as we tell you about a rare and distinctive spider being discovered living at a north Devon nature reserve.
The strawberry spider is classified as nationally scarce by arachnid experts.
The discovery was thought to be one of only a handful of sightings in Devon since it was discovered near Ivybridge in 2008, according to the Devon Wildlife Trust.

Insect expert Rob Wolton made the discovery and said: "I was out recording insects like hoverflies on the reserve, when I spotted this huge red spider unlike any I had ever seen before. I took some photos and when I got home looked it up.
"It was a real surprise to find such an eye-catching spider. It just goes to show what a special place Meeth Quarry is. Full of the unexpected."
It's been announced that building work will start in the spring on Cornwall's first specialist mental health unit for young people.
The unit, which will benefit patients from around the South West, will be built in the grounds of Bodmin Hospital.

The £7.5m project aims to improve traffic flows and make the town bicycle friendly.
Parking has been free in Fore Street, Priory Road and Dennison Road for the past year, but the council said that was to end on 1 October.
Geoff Brown, council cabinet member for transport, said: "Now this work is complete, disruption to local businesses has reduced and parking charges will be reinstated.
"Income from council car parks is used to fund vital services in Cornwall, including maintaining the 7,000km of road network we have responsibility for."

A sighting of the invasive Asian hornet which preys on honeybees has been confirmed in Devon.
The National Bee Unit confirmed the sighting at an apiary near Woolacombe and work is under way to identify, destroy and remove any nests in the area.
Experts said the Asian species, which at up to 2.5cm (1in) long is smaller than native European hornets, poses no greater risk to human health than bees. But it preys on important pollinating insects such as honeybees and could do serious damage to colonies here, which have not evolved to cope with the threat.
Asian hornets arrived in France in 2004 and are now common across large areas of Europe, with experts on standby in the UK in recent years for the insect's arrival here, from imports such as plants or timber, or even by flying across the Channel.
The species was discovered for the first time in Channel Islands Jersey and Alderney last summer.
Image source, PAThe family of a man found dead on the Isles of Scilly say they have been in a prolonged "tug-of-war" with Devon and Cornwall Police.
Josh Clayton's body was discovered in September 2015 on rocks to the north of Tresco.
The Devon and Cornwall Police investigation into the death has been reviewed by Dorset Police but the findings have not yet been made public.
Mr Clayton's brother, Ashley Cox, said: "It feels like we are in a tug-of-war with the police to get them to investigate the death properly."
Det Supt Steve Parker, senior investigating officer, said: "I have met with the Clayton family to inform them of our plans and intentions in relation to the investigation. I will continue to keep them fully informed of any developments."

Peter Milne, 38, from Temple Crescent, Tiverton, was brought before Exeter magistrates, charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and throwing a corrosive fluid with the intent to burn, maim or disfigure.
The charges related to a suspected robbery in Tiverton on Sunday where a man was sprayed in the face with an unidentified liquid.
No plea was entered and the case was adjourned to Exeter Crown Court on 26 October with the defendant remanded in custody.
An 89-year-old man died after falling on concrete and banging his head at his retirement home in Devon, external, an inquest has heard.

A search is under way for a missing labradoodle dog which was in a car involved in a crash with an unmarked police vehicle.
The dog was in a Nissan which was in the crash with a police Skoda Octavia on the southbound side of Junction 29 on the M5 for the A30 at about 12:30.
The Nissan ended up on its roof. There were no reports of major injuries.
The dog was last seen heading towards Exeter Airport, police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police say an operation is under way to prevent criminality which may be caused over badger culls.
Farms across the South West are part of the Defra-licenced scheme in a bid to eradicate bovine TB in cattle.
Badger culling is part of the government's 25-year strategy to eradicate bovine TB, but opponents say there is no evidence it is effective.
A police senior officer confirmed the force was investigating reports of "significant damage to pheasant pens", estimated at £10,000, reported by a local shooting syndicate.
The operation also includes extra patrols being carried out.
The Badger Trust said it opposed culling, but chief executive Dominic Dyer told the BBC the trust only supported peaceful protest.
A 71-year-old woman in a serious condition in hospital after her car crashed with a lorry in Cornwall.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash happened at about 11:30 yesterday, on the A389 at Lanivet, near Bodmin.

Conservative members on Cornwall Council have welcomed a decision by the Boundary Commission to reduce the number of councillors by 36.
The commission has recommended the number is cut from 123 to 87 by 2021. It is to hold a consultation about ward changes
Conservative Group Leader Phil Seeva said: "I am pleased to see that the Boundary Commission has again come back with a figure similar to ours when it comes to changing the number of councillors on Cornwall Council."

The family of a young man found dead on the Isles of Scilly in 2015 say they believe he was murdered.
The inquest into 23-year-old Josh Clayton's death in January 2017 was halted after new claims emerged of a row at a party on the privately-owned Tresco in the Isles of Scilly.
Ashley Cox, Mr Clayton's brother, said Josh was found fully clothed and with his backpack on.
"It became clear in my mind he had been murdered," Mr Cox said.
The date for a second inquest into Mr Clayton's death has not yet been set.
Nobody has been charged with any offences relating to Mr Clayton's death.
