Read MoreThe Bloodhound car, which carried out tests in Newquay, will attempt to break the land speed record next year thanks to a funding breakthrough.
The group behind the car, which is designed to reach 1,000mph (1600km/h), says it is in discussions with a major third party.
The car has been described as a combination of a fighter jet, a Formula One car and a spaceship.
It is driven by ex-RAF fighter pilot Andy Green.
Development of a rocket required to break the record will resume in August, with tests taking place at Newquay Aerohub.
There was doubt earlier over the timing of the test runs because of a lack of funding and engineers wanting a more complete car.

A row has started between the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company and MP for St Ives, Derek Thomas, over how services are run.
Mr Thomas says the Scillonian is old and can often not run to capacity, and that the freight services are often hampered by technical difficulties.
The argument started after a meeting the MP had set up between the company and minister Nusrat Ghani from the Department for Transport.
Quote MessageThere are two problems. One on the Isles of Scilly is people not getting things they need when they need it. But also it undermines confidence in investing in the area. In the meeting they talked about having a plan, but the plan at the moment doesn't actually lead to when the new vessel will be provided. But people are concerned about it."

North Devon Council is clamping down on dog fouling by spray painting the mess found on streets and in parks.
It said it had already seen "significant results" in Braunton using the method because it made the problem "more visible" and encouraged owners to pick up after pets.
Since the biodegradable spray paint has been used, the council said no new incidents were found, "where previously it was as high as five or six a day".
Neighbourhood officers are also continuing to patrol the Saunton Park area of Braunton for other anti-social behaviour, including littering and flytipping.
It's part of the council's Clear Messages Campaign, which aims to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Quote MessageThe results of our spraying are very encouraging. Seeing the paint reassures people that something is being done, puts those responsible on notice and helps monitor if our interventions are working. It's not all about catching people: our education work and raising awareness is just as important, and it is the direct support of the public that makes the biggest difference."
