    A Essex man killed in the Paris attacks has been described as  a man of  "considerable intelligence".

    Nick Alexander, 36, from Weeley, near Colchester, was selling merchandise inside the Bataclan Theatre and was killed when attackers stormed the building.

    The Rector of Weeley and Little Clacton, the Reverend David Newman, told BBC Essex: "He was sensitive to other people and their needs, he used the talents he had and died doing the work he loved."

    Nick Alexander, 36, of Weeley, near Colchester was killed on Friday at theBataclan concert hall in Paris, where he was selling band merchandise.

    The director of Colchester Arts Centre, where he used to run a club night, said his death was "desperately sad".  

    Anthony Roberts told the BBC: "He was a particularly lively and driven character and had a lot of charm, but could back it up by being clever."
