    Stormzy has donated £9,000 to a student's crowdfunding campaign so that she can study at Harvard in the US.

    Fiona Asiedu, an Oxford University student, had aimed to raise £12,000 in four weeks to be able to pay her tuition fees and other costs.

    The consultation on whether a secondary school placed in special measures should be closed has been extended.

    Chiltern Edge School in Sonning Common, Oxfordshire, was rated inadequate by Ofsted after an inspection in March.

    Inspectors also said pupil attainment was too low and a disadvantaged pupils' fund was not being used effectively.

    Oxfordshire County Council's consultation, external was due to be completed on 16 June, but the deadline has been extended to the end of the month.

    An urgent appeal has been launched to help secure the future of "an internationally important wildlife haven" and education facility, the Dorset Wildlife Trust has said.

    The appeal, external aims to raise £45,000 for Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve and Kingcombe Centre (pictured), near Dorchester, which opened in 1987.

    The cash will enable work, including replacing several kilometres of fencing and relaying hedges, to be carried out. the trust said.

    A cyclist has been seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Bournemouth.

    The collision between a blue Citroen Berlingo van and an electric-assisted bicycle - which looks similar to a moped - happened on Christchurch Road at the junction of Derby Road yesterday morning.

    The 63-year-old cyclist - a Bournemouth man - sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

    A 44-year-old man, also from Bournemouth, has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road traffic collision and is currently assisting officers with their enquiries, Dorset Police said, external

    Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to following an armed robbery at a flat in Southsea.

    Two men are alleged to have barged their way into a flat in Omega House, Omega Street, before threatening and injuring the three people inside with knives earlier this month.

    All three victims received small cuts including one which needed stitches.

    The pair began negotiations to purchase a 75% stake from the Championship club's Thai owners in November.

    The Premier League, who has a say in takeovers of clubs that might be promoted into their division, had been reported to be "cautious" about the deal.

    Reading reached the Championship play-off final with a 2-1 aggregate victory over Fulham last night.

    The Isle of Wight's new chain ferry at Cowes remains suspended.

    The "floating bridge" service was pulled from service on Monday on the orders of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).

    The chain ferry, which entered service on Saturday afternoon, broke down on Sunday leaving stranded passengers forced to wade through water to the slipway.

    It's not yet known when the ferry service will resume.

    A Yann Kermorgant penalty was enough for Reading to edge out Fulham and reach the Championship play-off final last night.

    The French forward fired the Royals into the Wembley final on Monday 29 May for a shot at promotion to the Premier League just after half-time.

    The only goal of the second leg came after Fulham centre-back Tomas Kalas was penalised for handball.

    Fulham were denied a leveller by a string of excellent saves from Ali Al Habsi in the Reading goal.
