    He won with 32,885 votes. Labour came second with 16,866,

    Anneliese Dodds has been elected as Labour MP for Oxford East.

    There was huge applause from Labour supporters here that drowned out the vote count, but we think she has increased Andrew Smith's majority. Which would be a very, very strong result.

    We're hearing interesting things from Portsmouth South. It's not a clear cut Conservative - Lib Dem battle with Labour apparently on for a strong showing.

    The seat was won by Conservative Flick Drummond in 2015 with a 14,585 majority, beating the Lib Dems into second.
