    A former UKIP MEP for the West Midlands says she hasn't worked since losing her seat two years ago because she was accused of expenses fraud. 

    It took four years to bring the case to court and Nikki Sinclaire was cleared of the charges last week.

    Severn Trent Water says it is investigating water supply issues in Worcestershire which have already closed Clifton-upon-Teme Primary School. 

    It's thought up to 200 homes in the Clifton-upon-Teme area could be without water.

    A Herefordshire schoolgirl has raised nearly £15,000 by paddling 100 miles in a kayak. 

    Iona Grahame completed the three-day challenge on the River Wye alongside her friend, Lockie Peters.

    It was all to raise money for The Tom Grahame Trust - a charity set up in memory of Iona's brother (pictured above right) who died of a brain tumour in 2010.

    The company behind Worcester's Cathedral Square redevelopment (pictured) says the project should be completed by the spring of 2017.

    The new shopping and leisure development is set to create 100 new jobs with the new-look square due to include a number of bars and restaurants as well as a new gym.

  16. Police race investigation launched after plastic faeces 'waved in family's faces'published at 16:47 British Summer Time 18 July 2016

    Police in Worcester have launched an investigation after a family were believed to have been racially harassed in the city centre. 

    It happened on Saturday afternoon as the family, including two young children, were walking past the Royal Exchange pub on Cornmarket. 

    A man outside waved plastic faeces in the woman's face, then one of the children's. Police are asking people who may have filmed the incident on their mobile phones to come forward.

    A Hereford woman with terminal cancer has completed her 2,000-mile charity cycle ride across Europe.

    Emma Collett and her fiance Jake Coates (pictured) rode in tandem in a bid to raise £100,000 for the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where she's receiving treatment.

    The couple rode through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark to complete their charity mission.

    Worcestershire's director of cricket Steve Rhodes says the club's links with the University of Worcester have been a great boost to the club.

    Skipper Daryl Mitchell and Rhodes's sons are among those players who have combined their studies with cricket and he says the players have come out of it "better for the experience".

  19. Redditch MP Karen Lumley wants meeting to discuss hospital's futurepublished at 15:47 British Summer Time 18 July 2016

    The Redditch MP, Karen Lumley, says she's going to give patients the chance to discuss the change to services at the Alexandra Hospital in the town.

    The trust, which runs the hospital, has announced plans which will see some services such as maternity and paediatric overnight care moved to Worcester. Other services, such as breast reconstruction and chemotherapy, will be brought to Redditch.

    Ms Lumley told BBC Hereford & Worcester people are "quite rightly anxious" and the meeting will give people the chance to have their say about the hospital's future. 

    The date for the public meeting has not yet been set, but is likely to be held in either September or October.
