    ... you can go and splash around in a fountain at the Lido. Plus there's an open air salt-water swimming pool. This is a great alternative to swimming in open water - a practice about which emergency services have been warning today.

    Residents can find out more about the planned new campus for the University of Worcester at a series of meetings beginning today.

    The planned University Court development is a seven-minute walk from the University’s existing location in St Johns. 

    The consultation events begin today at Worcester Community Trust Green Centre in Dines Green, from 15:30 to 19:00, and continue on Wednesday, 20 July and Thursday, 21 July at Worcester’s Guildhall in High Street, from midday to 16:30.

    Herefordshire's cricketers are in a strong position heading into the final day of their Minor Counties Championship match against Oxfordshire at Great and Little Tew.

    Centuries from skipper Matt Pardoe and debutant Will Fraine helped Herefordshire to 382 for 3 in their first innings.

    Spinner Peter Burgoyne then took four for 23 to leave the home side on 122 for five at the close - a lead of only 78 runs.

    Worcester's first street cricket tournament is taking place today. 

    Teams of six, including one from the city council (pictured), are going to be battling it out with soft balls and plastic bats in Angel Place from 14:30.
