But the industry says its members' hives were saved by a long, warm autumn.

  2. Harlequins 36-14 Worcester Warriorspublished at 09:05 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2016

Harlequins scored five tries in a bonus-point Premiership win over Worcester at The Stoop at the weekend.

Danny Care's early Quins score and Jackson Willison's try for Warriors saw the sides level at 7-7 at half-time.

But James Horwill, Mike Brown, Joe Marchant and Tim Visser crossed for the dominant hosts after the break.

Warriors, whose last away league win came at Harlequins in March, have lost four straight games in all competitions and have only one win this term.

  3. Rurik Jutting had narcissistic disorder, defence sayspublished at 08:48 Greenwich Mean Time 31 October 2016

A former Worcestershire schoolboy accused of killing two women in Hong Kong had been diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder and sexual sadism, the court has heard.

A medical witness for the defence said ex-banker Rurik Jutting also suffered from the effects of cocaine and alcohol abuse.

Mr Jutting has pleaded not guilty to murdering Sumarti Ningsih and Seneng Mujasih in 2014 on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

He did plead guilty to manslaughter, but the prosecution rejected that.

Defence witness Richard Latham, a consulting forensic psychiatrist in the UK's National Health Service, said Mr Jutting's disorders had progressed to the "most severe end of the spectrum" by the time of the killings.

His ability to control his behaviour was "substantially impaired", Mr Latham said.
