    Kidderminster Harriers have signed winger Daniel Nti until the end of next season.

    The 23-year-old joins them from National League side York City.

    He's made 16 starts and scored one goal since joining York.

    He's no stranger to this area, having previously scored 44 goals in 130 starts for Worcester City. 

  2. Crash victims lucky to be alivepublished at 17:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2017

    Five people involved in a three-car crash in Kidderminster yesterday afternoon were lucky to emerge alive, the ambulance service says.

    It happened at the junction of the A442 and Curslow Lane to the south of Kidderminster at about 14:45, external .

    A spokesperson said ambulance staff treated the patients while firefighters set about cutting them free from the wreckage.

    One man in his 30s was airlifted to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with a head injury, wrist fracture, a leg injury and a possible fracture to his pelvis.

    Four others received less serious injuries.

  4. Work to start on 16th Century Worcester buildingpublished at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2017

    Work is due to get under way next week to restore a 16th Century building in the centre of Worcester.

    About £15,000 is going to be invested in improving the look of the Grade II listed Queen Elizabeth House on Trinity Street which was built in the 1570s.

    Scaffolding will be going up on Monday and the work is expected to take around five weeks.

    Accident and emergency departments in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have once again failed to meet national targets, according to new data out this morning.

    More than 9,000 people were admitted to Worcestershire's A&E departments in January, yet more than a third weren't admitted, transferred or discharged within four hours -167 had to wait more than 12 hours. 

    In Herefordshire, more than a quarter of patients had to wait longer than four hours at Hereford County Hospital.

    A "considerable" array of cricketing memorabilia has been left to the Worcestershire Supporters' Association (WCCSA) by former chairman Ken Mills, the club says. , external

    Mr Mills, who was chairman of the club for 41 years before dying in August 2015, also left the association a legacy of £50,000.

    The collection, running to dozens of items, includes commemoration plates, signed bats, and framed scorecards.

    The association has listed all items, and will announce at a later date what's to be done with the collection.

    A toddler has died after a suspected cardiac arrest in Comberton, Kidderminster. 

    Paramedics arrived to find a relative trying to resuscitate the boy. 

    Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, he was pronounced dead soon after landing at Birmingham Children's Hospital, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

  12. New delay for Worcestershire Parkway rail stationpublished at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2017

    Worcestershire's new railway station has suffered another delay.

    Clearing work began near Norton last week for the Worcestershire Parkway station, which is expected to cost £22m.

    Plans for Hereford's university are one step closer today after the government promised £8m towards the project. 

    Chancellor Philip Hammond is expected to announce the funding today as he visits the Midlands today.

    The university will specialise in engineering and technology and is set to be based at a number of sites around the city.
