    The police say some children seem unaware they could be committing an offence when they share explicit images with their phones.

    Last year 170 children were investigated by the police in West Mercia and Warwickshire for "sexting" - sending explicit text or photos by social media or text message.

    Police in Warwickshire dealt with the largest number of cases - 68, while Herefordshire dealt with only 16.

    There were 44 cases in Shropshire and 42 in Worcestershire over the course of the year.

  3. Missing Stephen Woolley: Post-mortem examination due todaypublished at 10:24 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2017

    A post-mortem examination is due to take place on the body of Stephen Woolley, from Kidderminster, who went missing in December

    The body of the 55-year-old from Kidderminster was found in the River Severn in Gloucester last month. 

    He hadn't been seen since parking his car by the river at Holt Fleet, near Worcester. 

    In a Facebook post, , external his family say that although this wasn't the outcome they had hoped for, they now have "closure".

    Dozens of people in Worcestershire are at risk of dying from air pollution and more needs to be done by the authorities to tackle it, according to a Worcester city councillor. 

    Louis Stephen, from the Green Party, says Lowesmoor and Bridge Street in the city are particular areas of concern. 

    Today the head of the World Health Organisation has said that air pollution is "one of the most pernicious threats" facing global public health and is linked to the deaths of 600,000 children under the age of five every year.

  6. Travel: Overnight road closure in city centrepublished at 09:02 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2017

    Widemarsh Street in Hereford will be shut at night this week so that it can be re-surfaced. 

    The road will be shut from 19:00 until 07:00 so that repairs can take place following the building of the city ring road, which is due to open this autumn.

  8. Bulls launch investigation as Didcot game abandoned after crowd trouble published at 08:24 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2017

    Hereford FC have launched an investigation after their Southern League Division One South and West match at Didcot Town was abandoned on Saturday because of crowd trouble .

    It is alleged that the Didcot keeper was headbutted as several Bulls fans came onto the pitch after they scored.

    Hereford were leading 2-1 when the incident took place in the 87th minute.
