The government has awarded nearly £600,000 to North East Lincolnshire Council to boost housing development.

The funding will be used for technical feasibility and masterplanning studies, and to identify how the existing housing stock can be improved.

Funding for these projects is a big step forward towards restoring a healthy housing investment market in the centre of Grimsby. It will fund the critical advance work needed to join up new projects in the town centre with the West Marsh and other inner areas, and get existing landlords to work together. Gaining this funding in a nationally competitive scheme shows that these plans have real support."

  17. Update on nuclear bomber's journey to Yorkshirepublished at 11:42 British Summer Time 28 March 2017

It's day two of an incredible journey.  A French Mirage bomber left Paris yesterday and is now on it's way to Le Havre to catch the ferry to England. I can't imagine how the ship will cope with the 23m-long (77ft) plane which weighs 31-tonnes.

It has been donated to the Yorkshire Air Museum by the French government. It's the only Mirage IV to be given to an independent museum and the only one outside France.
