    Police are appealing for help in finding a woman from Cleethorpes who's been missing since last month.

    Julie Ann Repton, 30, went missing after leaving for work from her home on St Hellier's Road at about 05:00 on Friday 19 May.

    She's not been seen or contacted her family since then, and her family is growing increasingly concerned and want her to get in touch to let them know she's safe and well.

    Julie is described as being 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build with shoulder-length wavy red hair. She was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans and was carrying a white backpack.

    She also had her blue and white GT Tempest bike with her.

    Anyone with information about Julie's whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

    Hull FC's executive director James Clark has paid tribute to club legend Arthur Bunting, who has died at the age of 80.

    Mr Bunting led the Black and Whites to pretty much every trophy and major final from 1978 to 1985 and was coach during the club's record-breaking 1978-79 season.

    James Clark says his record as a coach "speaks for itself": "Unprecedented success and deservedly recognised as the man responsible for overseeing a golden era in the club’s history.

    "However, for all those who knew him around the club, his close friends and former team mates, he is remembered as the perfect gentleman, kind and supportive.

    "A genuine rugby league fan with a brilliant sense of humour. He had a smile for everyone."

    It's a windy morning on the roads and the Humber Bridge is currently closed to high-sided vehicles.

    Also watch out for the 30mph speed limit which is currently in place on the bridge in both directions.

    Tributes are being paid to former Hull FC coach Arthur Bunting who has died at the age of 80.

    He led the Black and Whites to just about every trophy and major final available between 1978 and 1985.

    Most notably, he was at the helm of the world record-breaking season that saw Hull win every one of their 26 league games in 1978-79:

    Hull band The Happy Endings have been chosen to play at Glastonbury Festival.

    The group is made up of sisters Emma and Rachel Fee, along with percussionist Michael Jessop.

    They'll play on the BBC Introducing Stage on the Sunday afternoon.

    People living in an area of Hull say they feel too scared to leave their homes because of the level of crime happening on their doorsteps.

    Some residents on Washington Street, off Beverley Road, say violence, drug dealing and criminal damage have become a way of life and they claim the authorities are not doing enough to tackle the problems.

    Hull City Council says it has had a few reports of problems in the area and has contacted one landlord following a complaint.

    It is urging anyone with concerns to contact the local authority.

  12. Listing fight goes on for Hull's Three Ships muralpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 6 June 2017

    More on the news that campaigners in Hull want Historic England to have a rethink over their decision not to grant Grade II-listed status to the city's Three Ships mural.

    The mural, on the former BHS building, is a mosaic by artist Alan Boyson and comprises almost a million pieces of Italian glass on a 66ft by 64ft concrete screen.

    The work was commissioned by the Co-Op in 1963, but the building has been vacant since August.

    Hull City council has locally listed, external the mural and believes it "to be the biggest in the UK" but the surrounding area has been earmarked for future development.

    It was placed on the Twentieth Century Society's Buildings at Risk list in January.

    Two contestants taking part in the TV show Hunted could be in Bridlington.

    In the show ordinary members of the public attempt to remain undetected while on the run.

    If they succeed they'll win a share of £100,000.

    The producers have got in touch with BBC Radio Humberside because they think these two men from Preston (pictured) could be in the Bridlington area.

    If you help the producers you could be in for a cash reward... but then again you could end up ruining the TV contestants chance at winning!

    Police in Hull have apologised after they turned up at the wrong address following a 999 call for help.

    Officers went to a home on Louis Drive in the city, instead of a house on the similar named Louis Court three miles away.

    Police say they were at the right place within 15 minutes.

    A man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He's since been released without charge.

    A man has been jailed for five years for fracturing another man's skull in October last year.

    22-year-old Lorenzo Obo Bortey (pictured) stole the victim's wallet in Queen Victoria Square and then ran off.

    He admitted robbery and breaching a suspended sentence at Hull Crown Court.

    Two men have tried to mug a woman who was jogging down a Hull street at the weekend.

    The victim was jogging on Walliker Street at about 15:15 on Sunday 4 June when one man grabbed her from behind and demanded money while another man kept watch.

    The woman managed to escape by kicking the man and was left with minor head injuries.

    The first man is described as white, 25-35-years-old, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He had dark, cropped hair, had an acne-scarred face, was unshaven and had a strong hull accent.

    The second man is described as black, 25-32-years-old, 5ft 11ins to 6ft 2ins tall, and of stocky build. He had cropped black hair and was clean shaven.

    Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to contact police.

  19. Beverley poet and novelist Helen Dunmore diespublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 6 June 2017

    Tributes have been paid to East Yorkshire-born Orange Prize-winning writer Helen Dunmore, who has died of cancer at the age of 64.

    Author Philip Pullman remembered her, external as "a warm and generous human being", while Tracy Chevalier said, external she was "a graceful, elegant writer and person."

    Dunmore, who was born in Beverley in 1952, won the first Orange Prize for women's fiction in 1996 for her novel A Spell of Winter.

    Publisher Penguin Random House said it was "devastated by the loss of one of our best-loved authors".

    Bloodaxe Books, which published Dunmore's first poetry collection, The Apple Fall, in 1983, said, external it was "immensely saddened" by her passing.

    Her most recent novel, Birdcage Walk, was published in March.

  20. Russian Leonid Slutsky emerges as favourite to be Hull City's next bosspublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 6 June 2017

    Ex-Russia boss Leonid Slutsky, who has been strongly linked with Hull City, says Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is helping him get a job in England.

    Slutsky, 46, is reportedly set to take charge at Hull,, external who were relegated from the Premier League last season.

    The former CSKA Moscow manager says he is Russian billionaire Abramovich's current "project" and has been learning English for five months.
