    A man has appeared in court today charged with two counts of attempted murder after two women were seriously injured in Immingham.

    They are still in hospital following the incident on Sunningdale Drive on Monday.

    Lewis Morgan, 33, of Manvers Street in Hull appeared before magistrates in Grimsby this morning.

    He was remanded in custody to appear before Hull Crown Court on 19 March.

    The local trading arm of Age UK in North East Lincolnshire will close next month.

    Age UK has many charities operating locally that provide a safe place for the older generation to get support and advice as well as socialise.

    The closure means people will no longer be able to buy things like insurance from the centre in Grimsby.

    The company say it's a national decision and that local trading companies are no longer financially viable.

    There are calls for the boss of Transpennine Express to visit Hull, to explain why services to Manchester will soon take longer.

    The Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce say timetable changes on the route are a "downgrade" because trains will stop at more stations, increasing journey times.

    The chamber has written to the boss of the rail franchise, calling on him to attend a rail "summit" in the city.

    Danish energy giant Ørsted has selected Siemens Gamesa as the exclusive supplier for the wind turbines for Hornsea Project Two, which will be the world’s biggest offshore wind farm when operational in 2022.

    Hornsea Project Two will be built 89km from the Yorkshire coast and will produce enough green energy to power over 1.3m UK homes.

    Siemens Gamesa already supplies blades for the Hornsea Project one which is currently being constructed.

    Hull City footballer Ryan Mason has had to retire from football at the age of just 26.

    Mason fractured his skull following a clash of heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill during a match last year.

    The footballer started training with the club again in May last year, but no expected return date was ever given.

    He said he'd "worked tirelessly" to play again, but due to the risks he had no option but to retire.

    The Humber Ports already handle more than £7bn of trade every year - and Hull's is about to get much bigger.

    Its capacity is set to double in the coming months as part of a £15m investment by Associated British Ports.

    Today, a major part of the upgrade arrives by sea - two 160ft tall cranes which will be used to carry freight from ships to land.

    A new scheme has been launched in Hull to reduce the number of children under the age of five with tooth decay.

    Recent figures show just under 40% of five-year-olds in the city have tooth decay - a figure that's well above the national and regional average.

    Seven local dental practices will work as "oral health champions" making sure children take better care of their teeth.

    Wildlife off Yorkshire's coastlines will continue to suffer unless people cut back on how much plastic they use, according to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

    Marine life like seals and seabirds are getting caught in rubbish or swallowing plastic, the trust says.

    A Labour Hull City councillor has been found guilty of downloading indecent images of children and owning extreme pornography involving animals.

    The jury found Steven Bayes guilty of all three charges by a majority of 10 to two.

    Detectives are looking for a man who snatched a pensioner's bag in Cleethorpes.

    Officers say the 74-year-old was on Thrunscoe Road near Coronation Road in the resort, when the incident happened yesterday lunchtime.

    She was unhurt but had her brown and beige bag stolen which contained food and aftershave that she’d bought as a present.

    The suspect is described as white, aged between 28 and 35, skinny, and wearing a mustard coloured top and dark jeans.
