    Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart has welcomed nearly £8m worth of investment for young people with mental health problems across East Yorkshire and the Humber.

    The Humber NHS Foundation Trust is to get £7.8m to provide 13 additional beds for local children and adolescents with severe mental health problems.

    Recent figures suggest 1,400 more young people accessed mental health services across the UK compared to 2010.

    Up to 75 jobs could be under threat at a Hull company which has gone into administration.

    Plasticon UK, based on the Sutton Fields Industrial Estate, makes composite materials able to hold corrosive substances.

    The firm has suffered significant losses over the last two years, but it's hoped that it will be sold as a going concern.

    Nine Flood warnings have been issued across East Yorkshire, including along different parts of the river Hull.

    Heavy rain has seen banks along parts of the River Hull breached and water levels have remained high.

    The Environment Agency says there appears to be no increased risk to properties but will carefully monitor river levels.

    There is also a flood alert at the River Foulness in Market Weighton, where levels remain high.

    Members of Hull's Sikh community say persistent fly-tipping has made it almost impossible to drive up to the site of their proposed new temple.

    Residents at Wilmington Park, which is next to the proposed temple site on Bedford Street, have also told the BBC they've also reported the fly-tipping problem to Hull City Council.

    The authority says it's looking into a long-term solution to the problem.

    Plans for the temple development could be given the go-ahead later today, but there are disagreements over where its entrance should be.

    Hull has the lowest percentage of people signing online for their GP appointments than anywhere else across Yorkshire and the Humber.

    Just over 15% of people in the city have registered online, with nearly 1.5m people across the area now signed up.

    Fiona McDonald from the NHS England's Patient Online Team say patients who register for online services help reduce the burden on health services.

    The government should not rule out continued membership of the European Economic Area (EEA) after Brexit, a committee of MPs has said.

    The Brexit committee said joining Norway in the European Free Trade Area (Efta) should also be an option.

    Brexit Secretary David Davis (Con, Haltemprice and Howden) has previously ruled out both options.

    The recommendation caused splits in the committee, with Tory Brexiters, led by Jacob Rees-Mogg, voting against its inclusion in their report.

    Humberside Police has confirmed that one man died and two were seriously injured when a lorry loaded with a static caravan ploughed through the central reservation of a bridge on the M62 yesterday morning.

    The accident happened at 09:30 when a lorry loaded with a static caravan, travelling westbound, went through the central reservation and collided with a black Lexus travelling eastbound on Ouse Bridge.

    The driver of the car died at the scene.

    The passenger in the car suffered life-threatening injuries, while the injuries sustained by the lorry driver are serious, but not life-threatening.

    Humberside Police want to speak to any witnesses.

    A new network of urgent treatment centres across the East Riding of Yorkshire will open this morning.

    Minor Injuries Unit

    The sites at Beverley, Bridlington and Goole replace six minor injuries units that have been closed.

    The East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group, which is behind the changes, says for the first time people with minor injuries will be able to access care from 07:00 until 23:00.

    Investigations are continuing this morning following the death of a motorist in an accident which closed the M62 in both directions yesterday.

    The motorway was closed for nearly 20 hours.

    It reopened at 05:00BST this morning.

    A lorry carrying a static caravan went through the central reservation between the junctions for Goole and Howden.

    Lane three on both sides of the motorway will remain shut until this afternoon to allow repairs to the barrier.

    One man was left with a seriously injured leg and another with cheek injuries.

    Humberside Fire and Rescue has said 4x4 responder crews will not be sent to parts of the city, including Orchard Park, because of a rise in verbal and physical attacks on fire fighters.

    The MP said she is "very concerned" and said "yob behaviour needs to be tackled".

    Hornsea's Minor Injuries Unit will close for good this evening as part of a major shake-up of the NHS in East Yorkshire.

    The unit's shutting despite years of campaigning to keep the unit open, with health bosses saying the new system will lead to a much better service for residents across the county.

    Changes are also coming in to effect at units in Driffield and Withernsea, where opening hours will be extended, but people will have to make an appointment first.

    People who need treatment will be able to travel to one of three new urgent care centres which will open in Beverley, Bridlington and Goole tomorrow.
