    Hundreds of jobs could be created in Grimsby after Youngs Seafood won a contract to supply fish to a major retailer.

    The company has announced it has secured three contracts to supply chilled and frozen coated fish, salmon and white fish to Marks and Spencer.

    About 200 jobs could be created in Grimsby, but it comes at the expense of 450 roles in Scotland as Youngs has announced plans to close its site in Annan, Scotland.

    The news comes a week after Five Star Fish in Grimsby announced plans to close, putting almost 400 jobs at risk.

    The lorry hit a car which was travelling in the other direction.

    The motorway near the Ouse Bridge has been closed for several hours and is expected to stay shut for some hours, possibly well into tonight.

    The M62 near Goole will not reopen for a number of hours, possibly well into tonight, according to Humberside Police.

    Some drivers have been stuck for several hours after a lorry carrying a caravan crashed through the central reservation near the Ouse Bridge this morning.

    Police say the road closure is likely to have an impact on rush hour traffic and say surrounding roads are very congested.

    Three flood warnings remain in place in East Yorkshire following heavy rainfall.

    The Environment Agency says water levels in the Hedon area are currently falling after this morning's high tide, but will remain high through the day.

    Water levels on the River Hull around the Wilfholme pumping station are still high, but no further significant rainfall is forecast this afternoon, the agency adds.

    River levels are expected to remain high for the next 24-48 hours.

    Ten flood warnings are currently in place for parts of North Yorkshire.

    High water levels on parts of the River Ouse in York and Naburn, the River Foss on the outskirts of York and the River Derwent near Stamford Bridge, mean homes and businesses should prepare for possible flooding.

    There are also warnings in place for riverside properties at Pickering as a flood warning is in place for Pickering Beck, as well as at Osbaldwick Beck near York.

    Work on a new lifeboat station in Cleethorpes is expected to start later this year, according to the RNLI.

    The new station will replace the current building which has been on Central Promenade for 30 years.

    It will also mean the resort will get a new lifeboat.

    There are tailbacks stretching approximately two miles on the M62 in East Yorkshire this lunchtime, according to Humberside Police.

    A pedestrian has suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a bus in Grimsby, say Humberside Police.

    Officers say the pedestrian is in a serious, but not life-threatening condition.

    Humberside Fire and Rescue say parts of Hull are not safe for crews to go to, because of the risk of attacks and abuse.

    The service says its teams have been spat at, received verbal abuse and have had objects thrown at their vehicles eight times since the start of the year.

    It says its 4x4 response vehicles, which are staffed by two firefighters, will no longer be sent to deal with incidents in areas including Orchard Park and St John's Grove.

    Fully-staffed fire engines, which carry CCTV cameras will have to be sent instead.

    Humberside Police says the M62 is closed in both directions near to Goole after a lorry crashed through the central reservation and hit a car travelling in the other direction.

    It happened close to the Ouse Bridge, between junctions 36 and 37.

    Emergency services are on the scene, but police say they expect the road to be closed in both directions for a "significant amount of time."

    People from East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire who have committed crimes when drunk are some of the first in the country to trial so-called "sobriety tags".

    The American-style technology, which detects any alcohol the wearer drinks, is currently being tested on 56 people in our area.

    The pilot is taking place in the Humberside, Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire areas.

    It is hoped it'll reduce alcohol-related violence in towns like Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

    People can be sent to prison if they drink alcohol while wearing one.

    Beverley Minster has been awarded more than £30,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to repair the leaking roof.

    Along with conservation work, the Minster says the funding will be used to help develop plans for an exhibition about Beverley's historical importance.

    It is hoping to secure a further £400,000 to complete the work.
