    Tennis start Kyle Edmund has reached a career high after being ranked 22 in the world, external after the ATP rankings were released.

    Edmund, who was raised in Beverley, and Cameron Norrie claimed their first ATP Tour doubles title by winning the Estoril Open.

    The pair beat New Zealand's Artem Sitak and Dutchman Wesley Koolhof 6-4, 6-2.

    More and more people are getting caught out by quicksand in Cleethorpes, the RNLI is warning.

    It's happened 22 times in the past 12 months, including one incident last week when a woman got stuck up to her waist.

    There are warning signs in Cleethorpes letting people know about the dangers, but it seems some are ignoring those warnings.

    Matt McNally, from the RNLI in Cleethorpes, says: "You can't tell just from looking at the sand if it's safe or not.

    "You can take two steps and be up to your knees or up to your waist in mud."

    Hull Paragon has been named as one of Britain's most unpopular railway stations in a survey of passengers.

    Independent watchdog Transport Focus took the views of more than 28,000 people at 56 stations for its ranking.

    A total of 73% of travellers were "satisfied" with Hull's railway station, according to the survey carried out between September and November last year.

    That puts Hull Paragon among the lowest-scoring stations in the customer satisfaction survey.

    Transport Focus said the top priorities for passengers were arrival time information, waiting rooms and the overall look of the station.

    Concerns are growing for a man from Bridlington who's gone missing.

    Paul Lyons, 51, was last seen leaving Hull Royal Infirmary on Monday afternoon.

    Mr Lyons is 6ft tall, well-built and was wearing a stripy rugby style shirt.

    Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

    Yorkshire looks set to host one another of the world's top bike races following the success of this year's Tour de Yorkshire.

    The Vuelta a Espana could come to the county after the Sir Gary Verity, from Welcome to Yorkshire, confirmed: "They want to do it, we want to do it."

    The race is primarily held in Spain but passes through nearby countries.

    The three-week Grand Tour race was won by Britain's Chris Froome in 2017.

    Yorkshire hosted the Tour de France's Grand Depart in 2014 and is set to stage the 2019 World Championships.
