    There'll be some heavy thundery downpours across parts of West Yorkshire at first tonight, but then most places will dry up later. 

    Minimum temperature 6C (43F) with light and variable wind.

    It'll be rather cloudy tomorrow with a risk of a few showers, but most places will stay dry with brighter spells developing at times.

  4. Ex-miners take multimillion-pound pension campaign to Wakefield Councilpublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 13 April 2016

    More on one of our other stories today: the former miners who've gone to Wakefield Council today as part of their battle to have millions of pounds of pension contributions repaid.

    The ex-pitmen claim the money's a surplus that's built up over more than 20 years, and they're asking the government to pay it back. 

    The Department for Energy and Climate Change says it guarantees miners' pensions will be paid.

    Speaking shortly after winning her sex discrimination and unfair dismissal case against Leeds United within the last hour, former club employee Lucy Ward told me the result was "bittersweet".

    She said all she wanted to do was clear her name.

    Ms Ward told me she had spent 11 years at a club she loved dearly and said "a lot has been said about me that wasn't true and now my name has been cleared".

    She said she loves Leeds United, but will now focus on getting back into football and on with her career.

  7. M62 smart motorway scheme 'cuts journey times'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 13 April 2016

    If you're using the M62 later, are you getting home any quicker these days?

    Highways England say you could be saving up to five minutes a day on some journeys on the M62 after the introduction of a "smart motorway" scheme.

    The £136m scheme, external covers 15 miles near Bradford and Leeds.

    Technology has been installed to monitor traffic, provide information and ease congestion with variable speed limits and utilising the hard shoulder.

    More details from the employment tribunal in Leeds where former Leeds United employee Lucy Ward has won her case claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination by the club.  

    The judge, Stephen Keevash, agreed the reasons for Ms Ward's dismissal were "a sham" and went on to say the comments of owner Massimo Cellino about "women having no place in football" were sexist.

    The Judge also said Ms Ward was not aggressive nor disruptive, nor did she have any issues with the club's new ownership.

    More details on the judgement in the sex discrimination and unfair dismissal case brought by former Leeds United employee Lucy Ward who has just won her case.

    Ms Ward was tearful as the judge spoke, saying there was no evidence the claimant was an aggressive or disruptive presence, or had any issues with the club's new ownership.

    The judge also quoted the words of club owner Massimo Cellino telling colleagues: "Football is no place for women and they're better off in the bedroom or beauticians."

    I've been at the employment tribunal in Leeds where former Leeds United employee Lucy Ward has just won her case claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination by the club.

    The tribunal judge said there no grounds for disbelieving that Lucy Ward had sought permission to work for the BBC. She'd previously done this with full support from the club.

    The judge added that Ms Ward and Neil Redfearn, the club's former head coach, were truthful witnesses.

    Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino had told former executive director Adam Pearson that Ms Ward had to leave the club, the judge said.

    More on the breaking news that former Leeds United employee Lucy Ward has won her case at an employment tribunal claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination by the club.

    In 2015, Ms Ward, who worked as the club's education and welfare officer, travelled to Canada to work as a BBC pundit at the 2015 Women's World Cup.

    The club claimed Ms Ward, who worked at the club's academy, was dismissed for exceeding her annual leave entitlement while away with the BBC.

    Ms Ward said she was sacked because she was Neil Redfearn's partner, a claim the club denied.

    An ex-Castleford Tigers player has failed to sell himself on auction site eBay as it infringed website rules.

    Ryan McGoldrick is currently a free agent after a side he signed for in New South Wales folded.

    However, eBay removed his listing because it "goes against their terms of selling body parts and remains".

    A Leeds United employee "ruled the roost" in work due to her relationship with the club's head coach, a tribunal has heard

    Lucy Ward says she was sacked because she was Neil Redfearn's partner, and is claiming unfair dismissal and sex discrimination.

    Giving evidence on the third day of the hearing, Leeds United secretary Stuart Hayton said "people closely linked can cause difficulties in a club".

    The club denies any improper conduct.

    More on the news that the murder in 2001 of a young mother in Bradford is now set to be reviewed by the West Yorkshire Police Cold Case Team, external.

    It's exactly 15 years today since the disappearance of 19-year-old Rebecca Hall, who was a sex worker from Bradford. Her body was found two weeks later dumped in an alley.

    Rebecca's is one several cases due to be reviewed by the Cold Case team, according to West Yorkshire Police.
