    It's hard to get sentimental over a pair of gates, but these giant cast-iron ones at Halifax Borough Market have been used to secure the site for more than 120 years.

    The eight sets of gates are becoming more difficult to move, as the hinges have become worn, so Calderdale Council have taken them down to do a bit of work on them.

    Once removed, each gate will be cleaned back to bare metal before repairs are made using traditional techniques. The gates will then be repainted using a colour scheme agreed with Historic England.

    The funeral of Leeds 16-year-old Irfan Wahid has now finished.

    Hundreds attended at the Bilal mosque in Harehills to pay their respects.

    People are expected to gather again at about 15:00 for a vigil for the teenager who was stabbed last Friday.

    If you've got an old bike cluttering up your garage, wait... don't take it to the tip. People who live in York are being urged to recycle them instead.

    Can you believe that every year about 18 tonnes of old bikes are taken to the Hazel Court Household Waste Recycling Centre.

    Many of them can be done up and sold at cost price to people who want them and the council wants to work with a non-profit organisation who'll do the work.

    City of York Council says it now wants to hear from people who may be able to set up such a group.

    A 17-year-old is recovering after an attack in a nightclub in Sheffield which left him with serious injuries to his face.

    Police have launched a fresh appeal for information into the attack which happened on 5 February at the Area nightclub on Burgess Street.

    It happened at about 01:10 when the 17-year-old was involved in an altercation and was assaulted by an unknown man in the nightclub.

    The teenager suffered serious injuries to his mouth and face.

    The funeral of 16-year-old Irfan Wahid, who was stabbed to death in Leeds last week, is due to start within the next hour.

    He died from a single stab wound to the chest after he was attacked in Harehills Lane last Friday afternoon.

    Mourners are expected to gather from about 12:45 at the Bilal Mosque. The funeral will be followed by a vigil at 15:00. 

    A Facebook page set up in his honour, external has seen many tributes posted to the 16-year-old and messages about what will happen today:

    Councillors are discussing plans for a £37m theme park on the former Pithouse West site in Rotherham.

    Gullivers, who are behind the scheme, already run family-themed entertainment parks at Matlock, Milton Keynes and Warrington. 

    Planning officials are recommending councillors approve the scheme.

    The Pithouse West site, which was home to the former Brookhouse Colliery which closed in 1985, and is 333 acres in size.

    More than 70 people have complained about plans to erect a mobile phone mast in a North Yorkshire village.

    North York Moors National Park's planning committee will meet later to discuss whether to give the mast the go-ahead.

    It could be built in the grounds of Staithes Athletics Club.

    Leeds-based supermarket Asda has come last in a survey of customers' satisfaction with stores.

    Consumer group Which? asked shoppers to rate supermarkets on their satisfaction and likelihood of recommending the store to a friend.

    While Asda was seen by consumers as being generally good value, the food quality was rated as average. Waitrose and Marks & Spencer topped the list.
