This morning he came into the BBC Radio York studio to talk to me about his career.

He's on record as saying his biggest regret is the failure to find out what happened to missing York chef Claudia Lawrence , so I asked him if he was hopeful those responsible will be found:

  15. It's enough to give you the humppublished at 10:35 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2017

    Jim Addyman
    BBC Local Live

Traffic calming measures on Main Street in East Ardsley, between Leeds and Wakefield, have left local residents anything but calm.

    speed humps

A couple of years ago, Leeds City Council spent over £20,000 on making the area a 20mph zone and putting in speed humps along part of the street.

Now, they've taken out some of the speed humps at an additional cost to the taxpayer.

Locals say that cars often speed down the thoroughfare and sometimes mount pavements in a bid to avoid slowing for the existing traffic calming measures.

Many locals say they have speed humps where they don't want them and none in the areas that need them.

    Quote Message

Concerns were raised locally that some drivers were attempting to avoid the speed humps by driving onto the nearby pavement. After discussions with local ward members, a small number of humps have been removed in specific areas to ensure safety for all users."
