  2. Body found in York after teenager's arrestpublished at 08:15

    Forensic teams are in place at locations across York this morning after a 19-year-old man was arrested over the discovery of the body of a man in his 50s at a flat on Holgate Road. 

    Officers were called in the early hours of this morning after concerns about the behaviour of a man near York Railway Station  who had blood on his hands, external .

    He was later found in the Scarcroft Road area where he was arrested.

    Officers remain at the flat where the body was found this morning as the investigation continues.

    The arrested man remains in police custody for questioning.

    More on the news that a man's been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in York.

    Officers were called in the early hours of this morning after concerns about the behaviour of a man near York Railway Station who had blood on his hands, external .

    Police found the man in the Scarcroft Road area where he was arrested.

    They later found the body of a man in his 50s inside a flat on Holgate Road in York.

    A Bradford beer company has signed up to a challenge to prove whether man or machine can pull the best pint, external , with Saltaire Brewery one of two companies challenging the School of Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University to build a robot capable of pulling a perfect pint.

    A leading expert says something has to be done to cut levels of air pollution in York. 

    Air pollution standards are regularly breached in the city and Dr John White, a respiratory specialist at the city's hospital, says it's affecting children and older people. 

    It comes as the charity Friends of the Earth report only 12% of people in Yorkshire think the air quality is bad.

    A South Yorkshire hospital trust is being accused of not doing enough to prevent a Sheffield mum's baby being stillborn.

    Rebecca Clarkson was 42-years-old when her daughter, Ava, died last year.

    She says because she was over 40 she should have been treated by a consultant and offered to be induced before her due date because of the risk of stillbirth. 

    She says the wrong care was given until it was too late:

    After a review of Rebecca's case, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust says it's made some organisational changes to limit the chances of this happening again. 

    Rebecca Clarkson says she's now unsure if she wants to try for another baby.

  8. UK's 'most wanted' found behind wardrobe in Bradfordpublished at 07:09 Greenwich Mean Time 6 March 2017

    One of the UK's most wanted men has been found hiding behind a wardrobe in Bradford.

    Officers from West Yorkshire Police found the man, who's wanted for multiple serious sexual offences in Slovakia, at a house in Girlington on Saturday.

    They'd been speaking to local residents and searched four different houses. 

    They found the man hiding behind a wardrobe at the fourth address and he was arrested. 

    He's now at a detention centre and will then be removed from the country.
