They leading pack are out of their saddles as they tackle a gradient of 15% on the Cote de Silsden.
It's the first big push of eight climbs today.

Despite several fairly steep sections already, we are about to reach the first categorized climb of the day - Cote de Silsden.
Three further categorized climbs come in quick succession now, so it should be a key section of the race.
For the amateur riders who took part in the Maserati Tour de Yorkshire ride.
Some of these guys have done 100km today.

The lead group of seven riders enter Skipton, with the gap on the peloton remaining at four-and-a-half minutes.
We will be hitting the first of eight King of the Mountains climbs fairly soon.

We've seen a few attacks from the front of the peloton, with the breakaway group of five now only 15 seconds ahead of two chasing riders.

The first breakaway group includes One Pro Cycling's Pete Williams, Dexter Gardias of BIKE Channel Canyon, Johnny McEvoy of Madison Genesis and Mathew Hayman of Orica-Scott.

As we pass Addingham, the group of four out in front have established a 15-second lead.
The police have been out in force for the event this year - as well as keeping the race route clear and making sure everything is in order they've also been waving, beeping and generally being good sports with the huge crowds.
