    Neighbours of a Ukrainian woman who's been missing from a West Yorkshire village for more than a month say her disappearance has shocked the community. 

    Svitlana Krasnoselska, 40, a mother-of one who's lived in the UK for 12 years, disappeared from her home in Micklefield, near Leeds, on 3 April.

    While it's thought she might have gone to York, police say what's happened to her is a "genuine mystery".

    A Yorkshire museum has been commended at a European awards ceremony in Croatia.

    York Art Gallery was recognised for the renovation and modernisation of its 130-year-old Victorian building.  

    It reopened in 2015 after an £8m refurbishment which included a new ceramics exhibition centre and an arts garden.

    The gallery picked up the accolade at the European Museum of the Year awards held in Zagreb.

    A man has been charged with murder after an alleged hit-and-run in Barnsley.

    Richard Broughton (pictured) died in hospital on 30 April, two days after being knocked down by a car in Welland Crescent, Barnsley.

    Police said the 37-year-old had been involved in an "altercation" before being struck by the vehicle.

    Kayne Reece Jones, 25, of Christchurch Road, Rotherham, is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court later.
