Image source, South Yorkshire PoliceIt took place at about 15:00 on Monday 15 May as a woman was walking along Commonside and Hands Road, in the Crookes area.
An unknown man is believed to have followed her for a short distance before inappropriately touching her and walking away from the scene.
The woman was not injured but has been left shaken by the incident.

Image source, North Yorkshire PolicePolice are looking for their owners after they were found following arrests in Whitby.
The arrests followed a series of thefts from vans in Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby.
Police say most of the tools have been identified from previously reported crimes, but there are a number of outstanding items they believe are stolen but may not have been reported.
Five men from West Yorkshire were arrested in connection with this incident and remain under investigation while enquiries continue.

An 18-year-old woman from Doncaster has been jailed for five years after pleading guilty to the manslaughter of her boyfriend.
Image source, South Yorkshire PoliceMegan Sambrook, of Wadworth Street, Denaby Main, pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court today and was sentenced at the same hearing.
Her partner, 18-year-old Lewis Guest, was found at their home on 8 March with stab wounds to his chest. He was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
Police forensic officers examined a knife found in the kitchen which was later forensically linked to Mr Guest's injury.

BBC Local LiveThieves tried to steal cables from the railway lines between Nottingham and Sheffield twice in the last week, police said.
British Transport Police said cable was cut on two consecutive nights in locations near Worksop in Nottinghamshire last weekend.
On one occasion, rail workers disturbed a group of men on a crossing near the station.
The men fled but left trailers, bikes and cut cable at the scene.

Reporter, BBC Radio StokeA hedgehog "blown up like a beach ball" is now said to be doing well after a vet says she "popped" it with a needle.
The animal, which had inflated to twice its size, was spotted wandering around in Doncaster and was diagnosed with a severe case of balloon syndrome.
The male was taken to the RSPCA centre in Stapeley Grange where a needle was inserted to drain out air trapped under its skin.
Staff say the hedgehog's "not out of the woods yet" but is eating well and they're very hopeful of a recovery.

Now he's got Nick Clegg's job, the club is looking to redress the balance, and is hoping he'll take up the offer to become a DJ there.
The venue says the offer is "in the spirit of fairness" and would see Mr Clegg taking to the turntables at events which they have named "Cleggers Plays Pop".
Police appeal after 14 sheep discovered dead in North Yorkshirepublished at 16:38 British Summer Time 12 June 2017
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the death of 14 sheep near Huttons Ambo in North Yorkshire last week.
While the sheep were "fine" at about 18:30 on Wednesday 7 June in a field at the top of Golden Hill near the A64, they were found dead at about 09:15 the following morning.
It's believed the sheep - 11 ewes and three lambs - died after being chased around their field by dogs, causing them to become distressed and run into boundary fences.
Anyone who witnessed the sheep being chased, or who has any other information, is being asked to get in touch with police.

Two drivers who could be the only witnesses to a crash in which a Keighley man died have been asked to come forward.

Police say they're looking for the drivers of a silver Toyota Hiace van and a white Suzuki Swift who may have "vital information" about the crash:

City of York Council is to fund a £1m addition to sports facilities at Millthorpe School.

It's part of the expansion of nearby Scarcroft Primary, which is needed because of the increasing number of children in the area.

BBC Local Live, SheffieldPolice are investigating how eight people came to need medical treatment after a club in Barnsley was evacuated at the weekend due to a "noxious substance".

It's not clear what the substance involved was, and the eight people affected suffered just minor injuries.
A man's been arrested and released under investigation as police enquiries continue.
Ousted Yorkshire Conservative MP blames 'poor national campaign'published at 15:38 British Summer Time 12 June 2017
Ousted Conservative Colne Valley MP Jason McCartney says a "poor national campaign and manifesto" led to him losing his seat.
In last week's general election, Mr McCartney lost to Labour's Thelma Walker, who won with a majority of 915.
In a post on his website, external, Mr McCartney says: "To our new Labour MP and her team. I’m not going anywhere, I live here and so Thelma is now my MP."
He added that he "will be holding her to account on all her promises, especially the one saying a vote for her will definitely save our A&E".

A 16-year-old girl has been sexually assaulted in Castleford.
It happened at about 19:00 on Saturday at the nature garden near William Street and Lock Lane where the girl was approached by a man.
Image source, GoogleThe suspect is described as white, in his early 30s, with light stubble and short dark brown or black hair.
He is described as wearing a black top with white stripes down the sleeves and he had a beer belly. He spoke with a local accent and was carrying a blue plastic carrier bag.
He also had a small black dog, possibly a Staffordshire bull terrier, which had a ginger/brown patch on its back and a pink collar.
Sgt Tony Shand says: "This was a very distressing incident for the victim and we are doing all we can to trace this man."
