    A rugby coach has been jailed for molesting young boys and secretly filming them in changing rooms.

    David Simmons, 26, formerly of Sheffield, planted covert cameras in clocks and a shower gel bottle to film teenage rugby players undress. Nearly 500 videos were found at his Ashford home.

    Simmons pleaded guilty to 17 sexual offences, including sexually assaulting boys under the age of 13.

    He was jailed for three years and eight months at Southwark Crown Court.

    Residents of a newly-built housing estate in South Yorkshire which is due to be on or near the government's preferred route of the High Speed Two rail line have been offered cash to stay in their homes.

    The government has said the 140 residents of the Shimmer Estate in Mexborough can apply for a minimum of £30,000 if they want to stay, which is equivalent to 10% of their property value or a £30,000 minimum.

    Some criminals are devious, coldly calculating and dangerously clever.

    Some however are not, like this suspect in Halifax who tried to hide under a bed to escape police.

    Officers say that they went to a man's house to arrest him as part of an ongoing operation across Calderdale and this was the spot he chose to try and hide in.

    Turns out it was a bad choice as the 30-year-old, who was wanted after he failed to appear at court for burglary offences, didn't do a very good job of concealing himself.

    West Yorkshire Police said on Facebook: "You will not be surprised to find out that yes we did find him - he will not be winning any awards for hide and seek champion soon!!!"

    A used car showroom in the village of Kirk Hammerton in North Yorkshire has been hit by a vandal who has caused about £29,000 of damage.

    Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about it

    The 29 cars are thought to have been been damaged at around 22:30 on Sunday 4 June at Yorkshire Vehicle Solutions.

    The damage totals about £1,000 of paintwork damage to each car.
