    It's deadline day for Wakefield Trinity to confirm where they'll be playing rugby league next year.

    Their current home, Belle Vue stadium, is no longer up to Super League standards, which means they face being expelled from the league.

    A new community stadium's been in the pipeline for five years, but a brick has yet to be laid.

    The Vikings lost to Notts at Trent Bridge yesterday by five wickets, thanks mainly to an Alex Hales century for the hosts at Trent Bridge.

    If there's just short of a million quid burning a hole in your pocket, you could be the next owner of Britain's highest pub, on a windy hill in North Yorkshire.

    The pub, which regularly gets snowed in at its isolated location in the Yorkshire Dales, is up for sale.

    The 17th Century Tan Hill Inn in North Yorkshire has panoramic views and is on sale for £900,000.

    The pub, 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level, was named the highest in the British Isles in the 1976 by the Guinness Book of World Records.

    Landlady Louise Peace said: "It is a very, very demanding job. I really do wish the next owner the best."

    In 2009 revellers celebrating New Year's Eve at the pub were unable to leave for three days following a heavy snowfall.

    In the 1980s a double glazing company filmed an advert for its product at the inn as a gale raged outside, gaining the pub national TV exposure.

    The family of 19-year-old Alex Wilson from Sheffield are growing increasingly concerned about him as he's not been seen since getting into a taxi near Calver Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    It's believed the car dropped Mr Wilson near the Sainsbury’s Local at Arundel Gate, at around 0145 that morning but his relatives have not heard from him since, which they say is out of character for the teenager.

    The Archbishop of York's calling for the inquiry into the Grenfell Tower tragedy to be "swift and transparent."

    Dr John Sentamu says we should learn from the Hillsborough disaster, that saw almost 30 years pass before criminal trials were brought.

    He also says the probe into the tower block fire, which killed at least 80 people, should have all the evidence available.

    In one week's time thousands of athletes, families and friends will be descending on Sheffield for the 2017 Special Olympics, external.

    The four day event takes place across the Steel City in a number of different sports.

    The card's being launched by the charity Headway and will explain a persons illness.

    A York-born soldier awarded the Victoria Cross at the Battle of Passchendaele is being honoured by his home city today.

    Bertram Best-Dunkley was a temporary lieutenant-colonel in the The Lancashire Fusiliers as the battle opened a century ago.

    He led an attack against machine gun posts, which, despite heavy losses, achieved all its objectives.

    Later this morning, the Lord Mayor of York, Barbara Boyce, will unveil a ceremonial stone at his birthplace close to the Knavesmire racecourse, to mark 100 years since the start of the battle.

    Two teenagers have been arrested after a taxi driver was shot with an air rifle in Huddersfield.

    The 17 and 18-year-olds are the latest to be arrested after the incident in Holays last Thursday.

    A 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl have now have been released.

    The charity says people can be on a list for up to six months to get a place in one of its day clubs.

    A man from Leeds has been arrested as part of an anti-terror operation while on holiday in Turkey, the BBC has learned.

    Ex-soldier Joe Robinson, from Leeds, is understood to be accused of sharing material on social media from his time in Syria with Kurdish militia the YPG.

    Mr Robinson, 24, his Bulgarian fiancé Mira Rojkan, and her mother Veselina, were detained in a police raid at the resort of Didim, western Turkey.

    The Foreign Office said it has requested consular access.

    The group's mobile phones, computer and other digital devices were seized by police.

    Ms Rojkan and her mother have now been released but friends told the BBC Mr Robinson remains under arrest and will appear in court today.

    The festival at Whitby Pavilion featured fire breathing, cabaret and martial arts for Victorian gentlemen.

    Organisers said the aim of the event - called Beyond The Sea - was "to welcome splendid people", and have fun.

    Steampunk has been described as "nostalgia for what never was" and draws on a wide variety of influences from HG Wells to comics.
