    A teenage girl has gone missing from her home in Selby.

    Kianna McCarthy, was last seen in the town at around 01:00 on Thursday.

    Police say they are concerned for her welfare and are appealing to members of the public to contact them if they believe they have seen her.

    Kianna has red shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing a grey hoody and grey tracksuit bottoms.

    It is believed that she may have travelled to London.

  2. Leeds Pride 2017: All you need to knowpublished at 12:47 British Summer Time 4 August 2017

    This weekend thousands of people will come to Leeds for the city's LGBT Pride 2017 - it's the biggest in Yorkshire.

    Now in it's 11th year, the event celebrates Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans life.

    Here's all you need to know.

    The main event is on Sunday with two hours of performances on a stage in Millennium Square followed by a (usually colourful and noisy) parade through the city centre with more than 60 floats.

    There will also be another stage on Lower Briggate on Sunday with outside bars, a children's area and a fun fair.

    The parade starts at 14:00 and the headliners on the main stage in Millennium Square are Heather Small and 80s and 90s 'pop sensation' Sonia.

    There will be road closures at various points around the city centre, external, and if you want to park your car in the centre of town, that might be a bit tricky too.

    Labour's Rachael Maskell says damage to the local economy's being caused by uncertainty over the uk's future relationship with the EU.

    An exhibition of 12 dolls houses spanning over 300 years, is opening at Weston Park Museum in Sheffield tomorrow.

    It's called Small Stories and I've been up to the site on Western Bank for a sneak preview with Lucy Cooper.

    The exhibition is free but donations are welcome and runs until January.

    The Special OIympics begin in Sheffield on Tuesday afternoon and ahead of the event the Flame of Hope has made its way from Much Wenlock in Shropshire to South Yorkshire for next week's opening ceremony.

    It's currently on the streets of Barnsley and will be in Doncaster later today.

    BBC Radio Sheffield will have full coverage of the four-day event beginning on Tuesday afternoon with Kat Cowan presenting live coverage of the opening ceremony from Sheffield United's Bramall Lane ground.

    If you're an admirer of all things Ferrari then get yourself along to Roundhay Park this afternoon - 70 of the iconic supercars will be on display.

    Fans of the prancing horse will be able to have a good look around the cars from 16:00 until 18:00.

    Then they'll move off to Elland Road where they'll parade the cars to the Ferrari garage on the ring road for a private event.

    The family and friends of a missing Sheffield man are growing increasingly concerned because he has not been seen since Wednesday evening.

    Nigel Sanderson, 42, was last seen in the Hillsborough area at around 19:30 BST on Wednesday.

    Police officers say Mr Sanderson is known to like visiting near-by Wadsley Common, Oughtibridge and the Rivelin Valley area of the city and is a frequently user of the local trams and trains.

    British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua has been told he must defend his World Boxing Association title against Cuba's Luis Ortiz.

    The 27-year-old, who trains at the EIS in Sheffield, was due to take on Wladimir Klitschko in a rematch, before the Ukrainian retired earlier this week.

    Almost half of pubs in Halifax town centre which were tested by police failed an underage drinking test.

    West Yorkshire police say they've been working with Calderdale Licencing Team across the town centre to make sure pubs and bars aren't selling drink to under 18s.

    They tested the businesses during an operation in the town over the last six weeks.

    Out of the 25 test purchases they made in pubs in the town 10 failed but they haven't been named by officers.

    Toni Minichiello, the former coach of Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis-Hill, has criticised outgoing UK Athletics chief Ed Warner's reign at the organisation.

    Warner will leave UK Athletics after 11 years at the end of the 2017 World Championships in London, which begins today.

    The Sheffield coach is worried about the number of talented athletes who now train abroad and feels it's been a problem during the whole time Ed Warner has been in the role:

    Tributes are being paid to the All Creatures Great and Small actor Robert Hardy, who died yesterday.

    He became a household name in the 1970's when he played Siegfrid Farnon, in the North Yorkshire-based BBC series.

    Ian Ashton, from the World of James Herriot in Thirsk, says he has a special memory of meeting Robert Hardy:

    The energy firm Ineos has announced the location of a proposed exploration well west of the village of Woodsetts, near Rotherham.

    The company said it hopes to drill for shale gas to the south of Dinnington Road in the future.

    Men who say they were abused as children at a Yorkshire school are starting a 200 mile walk to Downing Street.

    Despite three successful criminal prosecutions into abuse at the St Williams home in Market Weighton, victims are still fighting for compensation.

    A judge has thrown out three of the compensation cases, saying the abuse happened too long ago.

    The walk's been organised by David Furness from Leeds, who says it shouldn't matter how long ago the abuse took place:

    A total of 249 men have lodged claims against the Diocese of Middlesbrough and the De La Salle Institute, which ran the home.

    If successful, potential payouts could run into millions of pounds.

    Sheffield's Joe Root has been speaking to the BBC's Test Match Special ahead of the fourth test match against South Africa which begins later today at Old Trafford.

    The England captain has seen his side put in contrasting performances in the three matches so far but knows that a draw or better will see England beat the Proteas in a home series for the first time since 1998.
