    Family and friends of the late York schoolgirl Katie Rough are preparing to run a half-marathon in her memory.

    Katie's teenage killer is starting the first day of an interim hospital order. The 16-year-old appeared at Leeds Crown Court yesterday.

    Katie's mum, Alison, says a family team will be in Sunday's Great North Run.

    A special celebration is being held later to mark the 20th anniversary of the Yorkshire Heart Centre.

    It'll see patients from across our region join staff and doctors at the centre, which is at Leeds General Infirmary.

    Last year, campaigners won a long battle to keep childrens' heart surgery in Yorkshire, an NHS review had recommended it was stopped.
