Sheffield has been making the case for why Channel 4 should consider a move to the city at an event in Liverpool today.
A number of cities have expressed an interest in being the new home for the broadcaster despite its opposition to moving out of London.
A consultation into the broadcaster's future was launched after the government carried out an 18-month review of the publicly owned channel, which has more than 800 staff but fewer than 30 based outside the capital.
Today the Right Honourable Richard Caborn, the Chair of Sheffield's C4 bid, has been making the case at a panel event at Liverpool John Moores University.
The government said it would consider all bids with the broadcaster "to ensure that Channel 4 maximises its delivery of public value."
Someone who had their tablet stolen has seemingly left a cutting message for who ever stole it.
The message on the iPad reads " Hello, thank you for breaking my window. Do you have nothing better to do? You could have better spent your time getting a job."

A surgeon from Sheffield has become the first in the north of England to successfully implant a fully invisible hearing device into the fine bones of a woman's middle ear.
It has enabled 67-year-old Linda Oxley, a former wine and spirits manager, to hear everyday sounds for the first time in ten years.
" My life has changed beyond belief. As soon as the implant was switched on I could tell the difference straight away. I could hear traffic, people whistling, dogs barking, even hear the owl at night."
The Cochlear CARINA device gives 24/7 hearing and can be recharged through an external charger within 30 minutes.
It's suitable for people who have severe hearing loss and who can no longer benefit from conventional hearing aids.

The sun is out and it's turning out to be a lovely day across Yorkshire.
But it didn't start out like that, you can't help but have noticed the strange colour of the sky earlier, like this shot beautifully captured by Anthony Newby on his way to Leeds from York :

As we told you earlier, it was caused by the remnants of Hurricane Ophelia dragging in tropical air and dust from the Sahara as well as debris from forest fires in Portugal and Spain.
Here was the view in Rotherham from Kerry
An inquest has heard there was no evidence to suggest that an 11-year-old Bradford boy found hanged in his room was bullied, according to police who investigated his death.
Asad Khan was found by his mother, Farheen Khan, when she broke down his bedroom door at their home on 28 September last year.
Asad's parents said that they thought he was being being bullied and also expressed concern about suggestions there was a choking game being played at Beckfoot Upper Heaton School.
His family walked out of a pre-inquest review in August after a dispute with coroner about what evidence he would consider at the inquest, which began in full today at Bradford Coroner's Court.
Quote MessageThere's no evidence to suggest that Asad was being bullied. Several children said they'd initially seen Asad being bullied. When spoken to again, the actions changed and were disproved by other lines of inquiry."
Det Sgt Matthew Holdsworth, West Yorkshire Police
