I could not bring myself to talk about it as I felt guilty and disgusting, even though I now realise none of it was my fault. I've tried everyday to put these things behind me and while I manage most of the time they still haunt me. I'm determined not to let my perpetrators steal my life as they stole my youth. My teenage years were ruined by their disgusting sexual acts."

Speaking in Bristol, Mr Javid said since the local plan process was introduced over 13 years ago, 15 local planning authorities still hadn't "managed to get a plan adopted" and are "showing particular cause for concern".

But what is a local plan?

On the Department for Communities and Local Government's website, external, they describe them as "the heart of the planning system."

They're meant to detail where and when housing will be built, what kind of housing is needed and what is likely to be needed in the future.

They should be written by the local authorities and don't just concern housing, they also look at the local economy, community facilities, environment and infrastructure.

Their union, UNITE, says if the action goes ahead it'll hit supplies to hundreds of clubs, pubs and restaurants.

A ballot on industrial action begins today and we've approached the company for comment.

    Quote Message

This dispute is not about pay, but about the welfare of our members who are fed up with being fobbed off by the management, who could solve this dispute with investment in employing more drivers to ease the pressure on delivery times and the introduction of the appropriate machinery to facilitate the loading of the vehicles."
