The bill will be paid using the authority's reserves for things such as printing and distributing ballot papers and manning polling stations.

Colourful collages made entirely from discarded scratchcards have gone on display as works of art in Yorkshire.
Ripon College student James Owen Thomas, 16, began making collages of Yorkshire landmarks and wildlife using thousands of pieces of card after picking up a stratchcard floating in a puddle of water by the road.
His latest work, Seascape, has gone on display in the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority offices in Bainbridge, where it will be sold to raise money for homelessness charity Shelter.
James says: "I noticed how many scratchcards littered our streets and hedgerows. I had to do something about it and started picking them all up.
"I built up quite a collection and decided to use some of the colourful parts and symbols to create pictures."
James is often asked if he's ever found a winning ticket when collecting all these scratchcards.
"The answer, sadly, is no," he admits.

"So it made perfect sense for us to answer the call for emergency accommodation during the recent cold weather."
Organisers say it was initially a one-off temporary measure, but now intend to repeat the idea during spells of extreme cold weather.
