    There are eight flood warnings across Yorkshire this morning.

    The rivers affected are parts of the River Aire at Allerton Ings, the River Derwent , the River Swale and there are three in place for parts of the River Ouse in and around York.

    The good news is that warnings for the River Calder have been lifted.

  2. M62 reopens at Ouse Bridge after fatal accidentpublished at 06:37 British Summer Time 4 April 2018

    Investigations are continuing this morning following the death of a motorist in an accident which closed the M62 in both directions yesterday.

    The motorway was closed for nearly 20 hours.

    It reopened at 05:00BST this morning.

    A lorry carrying a static caravan went through the central reservation between the junctions for Goole and Howden.

    Lane three on both sides of the motorway will remain shut until this afternoon to allow repairs to the barrier.

    Decision makers in Bradford have voted to go ahead with plans to cut the amount spent on helping children with special needs.

    The Labour-run council says it's had to make changes because the amount of money it gets from central government is being halved.

    The Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are both against the plans.

    Have you seen this motorbike?:

    It was stolen in Wakefield from Broadcut Low Lock in the Calder Grove area between Friday 30 March and Saturday 31 March.

    Officers say the motorbike is quite "distinctive" and an old model.

    Anyone with information about its whereabouts is being asked to contact police.

    A man arrested over the deaths of two men on the M62 in West Yorkshire has been released pending further investigation.

    The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing a breath test.

    It comes after two men, believed to be Adam Afsar and Jason Wilby were in a car which was struck near Bradford at about 02:30 on Monday morning.

    Mr Afsar was working for Harris Pet Transport in Dewsbury, which has sent its "deepest condolences" to his family.

    Traffic is now being diverted at the M1/M62 interchange.

    Drivers can take the M621, exit at junction 7 and re-join the M1 at junction 44.

    Traffic officers are working to clear an accident involving a lorry on the M1 northbound at junction 43.

    There's been a large diesel spillage along with some damage to the barrier on the bridge.

    The M1 northbound between Junction 43 and 44 near Rothwell in West Yorkshire s currently closed after an accident involving a lorry.

    Two out of three lanes are also closed on the M621 westbound which runs underneath the M1 due to debris.

    Traffic conditions are expected to improve at about 17:45, according to Highways England.

    A man has died after what's been described as a low-speed collision at an airport viewing spot in Leeds.

    The incident happened on Cemetery Road in Yeadon, near Leeds Bradford Airport, at about 10:30 last Thursday morning.

    The 51-year-old driver of a red Renault Clio reversed out of a parking spot and struck another parked car near Leeds Bradford Airport, according to police.

    The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, but later died.

    Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
