A community project run by Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust has been granted nearly £170,000 from the National Lottery.
It will be used to help more than 1,000 vulnerable and isolated adults improve their lives through nature by joining walks and picnics or taking up wildlife photography.
Over the last five years, more than 4,000 people have taken part in Wild at Heart through more than 700 nature-based activity sessions, according to the project.
