    A woman from Sheffield has pleaded to people on social media to stop complaining about GP surgeries.

    Rose Baker, from Mosborough, wrote on Facebook asking patients to "take a second to think before you slag us all off" and say the NHS is failing.

    She added that people who don't want to buy their own "15p paracetamol" and instead get it for free over the counter are "part of the problem".

    Bethany Saville-Lyon, from Pellon, Halifax, was last seen yesterday afternoon.

    She is described as white, with brown hair and wears glasses.

    She is around 5ft tall and was wearing her school uniform, including a green blazer and black trousers or skirt, black boots and carrying a backpack.

    Detectives have issued a warning after a woman was assaulted in a park in West Yorkshire.

    Wakefield District CID are urging residents to be vigilant after the woman was attacked in the Frickley Park area of South Elmsall, on Tuesday.

    It happened between 10:45 and 11:15 after the victim, who was walking her dog, was approached from behind by a man.

    Officers say the suspect struck the victim and then grabbed at her, knocking her to the ground, before being scared off by her dog.

    The suspect is described as white, slim, about 5ft 10in tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, with dark hair and a blackened and swollen eye.

    Det Insp Benn Kemp of Wakefield District CID, said: “This was a very frightening experience for the female victim and we are investigating possible motives for this attack.

    “We are urging residents to be vigilant when using the park and to report any suspicious behaviour."

    Illegal clothing banks, placed in private car parks or on footpaths, are being removed by Bradford Council.

    A total of 40 bins have been removed by the council in the last month.

    The bins had been placed without the landowner’s consent or the relevant permissions.

    The binds often block footways and cause obstructions, the council said.

    Many of the bins didn't appear to be connected with a specific charity.

    The recycled clothing from the unauthorised banks has been donated by the council to a textile company working with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

    A police officer has admitted assaulting a child by repeatedly pouring water over their head.

    West Yorkshire Police Det Sgt Mark Horwell, 49, and Claire Wallace, 41, of Northumbria Police, had denied child cruelty.

    Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court, those charges were dropped and Horwell, of Manor Oaks Tree, Sheffield, admitted common assault.

    He was fined £300.

    The pair had been suspended from their respective forces.

    The court heard the decorated counter-terrorism officer with 20 years' service will inevitably lose his job over the assault, which happened in August 2017.

    The prosecution decided not to bring further charges against Ms Wallace.

    Alice Cutter, 22, allegedly entered the contest after taking on the nickname Buchenwald Princess in reference to the Nazi death camp.

    They deny being part of the banned extremist group which was outlawed under terrorism legislation in 2016.

    A 44-year-old woman was left with injuries after being assaulted by a gang of teenagers in Balby in Doncaster.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a group of about 10 boys and girls approached the woman on her driveway on Weston Road on Friday night.

    They assaulted her, leaving her with injuries to her head and face.

    Police say one of the girls was leading the group.

    Former Sheffield Wednesday secretary Graham Mackrell's barrister made the comments in his closing speech.

    Mr Mackrell, 69, denies a health and safety offence at Preston Crown Court.

    Former match commander David Duckenfield, 74, denies gross negligence manslaughter of 95 people.

    Jason Beer QC said Mr Mackrell was a man of "entirely good character" and the jury were being asked by the prosecution to "change someone from being a law abiding person to a criminal".

    The prosecution allege Mr Mackrell, as club secretary and safety officer, failed to take reasonable care over the number of turnstiles allocated to Liverpool fans.
