Hull's Paul Jubb has been knocked out of Wimbledon in the first round.
The 19-year-old who earned a wildcard entry to SW19 fell to a 6-0 6-3 6-7 (8-10) 6-1 defeat by Portugal's Joao Sousa.
Jubb, the first Briton to land the US colleges' prestigious NCAA men's singles title, previously won by Grand Slam winners Jimmy Connors, John McEnroe and Bob Bryan, attracted a big crowd on court 17 but could not build on winning the third set on a tie-break.

Police in West Yorkshire are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for a man missing overnight.
Steven Gibson, 33, who is described as white and of thin build, was last seen on Brander Road, in Leeds, wearing a blue jacket, tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Anyone who sees him is asked to contact the West Yorkshire force.
A newly-elected Green MEP claims he was asked to leave the European Parliament building in Strasbourg on his first day.
Magid Magid, 30, was wearing a baseball cap and a T-shirt with swearing and an anti-fascist slogan on it when he was asked to leave.
The former Lord Mayor of Sheffield was elected as one of six MEPs for the Yorkshire and Humber region in May.
The European Parliament said no member of staff was involved in the incident.
Mr Magid said he did not know who the person was who asked him to leave, although he believed that individual to be an official.
He said the person asked if he was lost and then suggested he leave.
He added: "I make people feel uncomfortable, people don't know how to react."

The 31-year-old victim was walking through the park with his girlfriend when he was threatened and told to empty his pockets before being punched in the face.

Police say the van was taken from Thorpe Cresent in Middleton at about 13:30, with a number of people pursuing in a car before confronting the thieves near the junction with Thorpe Mount.
One man in his 50s was injured in the incident and has been taken to hospital for emergency treatment, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A cordon is currently in place and the road is closed at Thorpe Lane while a police helicopter has been searching neighbouring fields for the suspects who ran off from the scene.
West Yorkshire Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident at about 13:30 today.
