Fire crews tackle 'widespread flooding' in Calderdalepublished at 08:00
Fire crews in West Yorkshire say they've been dealing with "widespread flooding" in towns and properties across Calderdale in West Yorkshire after prolonged heavy rain hit the area.
At least 12 flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency are currently in place in the area, external.
They include the river Calder at Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, which was badly hit by the 2015 floods in the Calder Valley.
A flood warning means "flooding is expected and immediate action is required".
The agency is warning people to be careful commuting and not to drive through flood water.
