    The Humber Bridge is looking set to reopen to cars shortly after it was closed due to high winds.

    Winds reaching 81mph were recorded on the bridge, according to the Humber Bridge Board.

    Strong gusts on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday however are likely to keep the bridge closed to vulnerable and high-sided vehicles.

    A Calderdale charity says it is "absolutely devastated" after a unit full of donations has flooded.

    Calderdale Lighthouse, in Halifax, helps families in need but this morning saw its unit flood as Storm Ciara hit Yorkshire.

    It said it doesn't know the full extent of the damage until the rain stops, but so far has been "overwhelmed" by the kindness people have shown.

    The public has been offering to help the charity, including more donations or support in cleaning the unit.

    Pictures on Facebook showed sewage coming up through the toilet and flooding the unit.

    A Sheffield cinema has had to close after strong winds blew their doors off.

    The Cineworld at Valley Centertainment has confirmed it's closed "due to the adverse weather".

    Photos posted online show the front doors damaged, with them lying in the foyer of the venue.

    It comes as Storm Ciara has battered Yorkshire with winds as high as 80mph.

    West Yorkshire Police is asking people not to go outside with riverbanks set to burst.

    Flooding has hit many parts of Yorkshire as Storm Ciara brings heavy rain and high winds to the area.

    South Yorkshire Police says it's working hard to tackle the extreme weather across the county today.

    It said current road closures and partial blockages include:

    • Tinsley Viaduct: closed to high sided vehicles.
    • Woodhead Pass: closed to all vehicles.
    • Doncaster Road between High Melton College and Melton Mill Lane: partially blocked due to a fallen tree.
    • Cricket Inn Road, Sheffield: road closed due to reports of flying debris.
    • Cineworld at Valley Centertainment, Sheffield: closed due to damaged windows.
    • Barnsley Road, Wath upon Dearne, near the Jet Garage: large tree blocking one lane.

    It added the force had reports of road flooding at:

    • Ecclesfield Road, Chapeltown
    • Darnall Road, Sheffield
    • Manchester Road, Deepcar
    • Brightside Lane, Atlas

    Amanda Owen, also known as The Yorkshire Shepherdess, took this video of her cattle trailer being swept away in Swaledale, North Yorkshire.

    She said the animals were all moved to safety before the storm but it is impossible to get there to give them food.

    "There are so many rivulets and torrents, if the sheep or dog or a person fell in that would be it," she said.

    The Environment Agency has issued a severe flood warning for the River Nidd at Pateley Bridge in North Yorkshire. The river is forecast to peak at nearly 17ft (5.1m) this afternoon.

    "This will lead to significant overtopping and may pose a danger to life," the agency warns.

    Rising water and the overtopping of the river has led to them being partially submerged.

    A driver has had to abandon their car after becoming stuck in flood water in North Yorkshire.

    Photographer Thomas Beresford saw the car on the A684 between Leyburn and Worton this morning.

    The vehicle, a black Maserati, became stuck leading to the driver having to get out and walk.

    The Humber Bridge has been closed to all traffic and pedestrians today because of the high winds.

    Winds of up to 70mph were forecast for the area as part of Storm Ciara.
