    Fancy a cycle through the Peak District? Don't worry, you don't have to stop self-isolating.

    This virtual bike ride, shot at Winnats Pass, near Castleton earlier this year, was supposed to be shown at last month's Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, which was cancelled because of coronavirus.

    The Peak District National Park Authority said it still wanted to release the video to help people feel connected to the Derbyshire countryside while the restrictions are in place.

    A Hull cardiologist says the UK has been slow in getting NHS workers tested for coronavirus which is putting pressure on the health service.

    Dr Sanjaay Gupta, who is currently off work with suspected coronavirus symptoms, says mass testing would mean staff can go back to work.

    He says: "I think we were very slow off the blocks, that's been the problem.

    "There were some countries which understood the significance and potential severity of this and got off the mark more quickly - I think they were a lot more efficient."

    Dr Gupta says he wants to be tested to see if he has covid-19 and says the NHS is being "let down" by the lack of testing.

    Boris Johnson has promised to increase the number of tests being carried out to diagnose coronavirus, using a video message to stress that this was the key to defeating the pandemic, external.

    A man accused of murdering a healthcare worker has been remanded in custody.

    Victoria Woodhall, 31, who worked at Rotherham General Hospital, was stabbed on Windsor Crescent, Barnsley, on Sunday afternoon.

    Craig Woodhall, formerly of Windsor Crescent, appeared via video-link at Sheffield Crown Court.

    He is due to appear again on 4 May and a trial date has been provisionally set for 28 September.

    However, the Recorder of Sheffield Judge Jeremy Richardson QC said due to the "national medical emergency" the date may be amended in the future.

    Sheffield Teaching Hospitals trust said the Covid-19 pandemic had "placed intense and unparalleled pressure on the health service".

    In a letter seen by the BBC, the 67 affected nursing associates were told they could either leave the trust or take up another role on a lower salary.

    Trade union Unison claimed the decision went against national guidelines.

    The BBC has contacted Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a response.

    Staff at Bradford-based supermarket Morrisons are to be given a £1,050 bonus this year as the supermarket promised to triple its rewards during the coronavirus outbreak.

    All staff on the front line, who are working in "unprecedented times", will get a 6% bonus on top of their earnings for the next 12 months - the equivalent of more than £1,000 for full-time employees.

    The supermarket said sick or self-isolating employees will also be paid the bonus, which will come in quarterly instalments, rather than in one big cheque at the end.

    Clare Grainger, Morrisons group people director, said: "Our highly valued colleagues have stood tall amidst the coronavirus pandemic, playing their full part in feeding the nation.

    "We want to thank every single one of them for their continued hard work during these unprecedented times by paying a much higher guaranteed bonus for the whole year in recognition of their effort."

    It follows promises by several other supermarkets to pay bonuses during the crisis.

    Two men have been arrested in Hull on suspicion of cannabis cultivation after hundreds of cannabis plants were found during a raid on three properties on the same street.

    The plants and and an amount of growing equipment were discovered yesterday at the properties on Philip Larkin Close, according to Humberside Police.

    The men are being held in custody while investigations continue, say police.

    Vandals have smashed the rear window of a police car parked outside a police station in South Yorkshire.

    The vehicle was damaged while parked outside Goldthorpe Police Station at about 21:45 on Tuesday, according to South Yorkshire Police.

    Two individuals on a motorbike stopped at the station before throwing an object at the car, police say.

    Writing on social media, external the force said: "It's saddening such an incident has occurred when we are all pulling together in these unprecedented times to assist the communty we are all part of."

    The incident comes almost a year to the day of an arson attack on police cars parked outside the same police station.

    Anyone who knows anything about the incident earlier this week is being urged to contact police.

    Sarah Hutchinson filled the tree outside her mum's house with the balloons to treat her when she opened her curtains.

    She said: "She rang me at 08:30 and was really surprised and happy. I think she thought the day was going to be a total wash out [because of the lockdown].

    "Lots of people on Facebook say they're going to wave and say happy birthday on their permitted walk today! I felt really sad we couldn’t go ahead with celebrating together and having our family meal, so I thought we could party on from 2m away in her front garden."

    At it's height more than 100 firefighters were called to tackle a "mile-long fire-front" at Deer Hill Reservoir in Marsden, West Yorkshire, on 23 March.

    Posting the images on Twitter WYFR urged people to stay at home saying "BBQs, picnics & meeting friends are NOT essential activities."

    While it is believed the fire at Deer Hill Reservoir was caused by controlled burning that spread a number of recent incidents have been sparked by barbecues, including a major fire in February 2019.

    A motorist who drove 60 miles to a North Yorkshire beauty spot to "get some fresh air" is among a number of drivers stopped at vehicle checkpoints in the county.

    North Yorkshire Police introduced the checkpoints a week ago to determine if drivers' journeys are essential after government guidelines were introduced to slow the spread of coronavirus.

    The previous weekend the county saw huge numbers of visitors flock to local beauty spots and beaches.

    The force no fines have been issued to motorists and that the roads around the county have become much quieter.

    However, it said as well as the driver in search of fresh air another motorist had been stopped after travelling from Merseyside. Both drivers were stopped towards the start of the operation.

    A force spokeswoman said: "The majority of people appreciate why we are doing this – to protect the NHS and save lives in what is an unprecedented public health emergency."

    Calderdale Council’s Assistant Director for Neighbourhoods, Andrew Pitts, said preparations were being made although it was hoped they would not have to be implemented.

    “All local authorities have been asked to put in place arrangements for temporary facilities if they reach a point where they are unable to conduct funerals and cremations at a rate at which deaths are occurring," he said.

    “In Calderdale, the Shay Stadium has been identified as the most appropriate location for this purpose."The stadium, which is owned by the council, is ordinarily used by FC Halifax Town and Halifax RLFC, with conference space also frequently used.

    Workers at Bradford-based Morrisons whose payroll details were leaked by a disgruntled employee will not receive compensation, the Supreme Court has ruled.

    The supermarket giant was not liable after an internal auditor leaked payroll data of about 100,000 workers as "revenge", judges decided.

    The decision overturns a landmark class action case by 9,000 people in a claim for being left "upset and distressed".

    Morrisons faced the action after internal auditor Andrew Skelton posted workers' personal details on the internet and sent them to newspapers after being issued with a verbal warning.

    However, a panel of five judges unanimously concluded Morrisons was not "vicariously liable" for his actions.
