Relatives are sharing "pen portraits" of the 22 victims who died in the Manchester Arena bombing as the public inquiry heads into its second week.
The victims, including six people from Yorkshire, were killed when Salman Abedi detonated a bomb as 14,000 fans left the arena in May 2017.
The father of Martyn Hett was the first to provide an emotional testimony to his son, whose life "was so vibrant".
The portraits will give each family the chance to present a personal insight into the lives of those who died.
The commemorative hearings are expected to conclude on 23 September.
The inquiry comes more than three years after the fatal bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester city centre, which left hundreds more injured.
A "targeted" shooting in Leeds which left a man seriously injured is being treated as attempted murder, police say.

A cordon remains in place this afternoon where the burned-out car was found and the scene is due to undergo forensic examination and specialist searches, police say.
Det Ch Insp Vanessa Rolfe said: "We would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the shooting itself - or who has seen the blue Nissan Juke being abandoned and set alight or the males running off from the scene."

The Covid-19 pandemic has cost Scarborough Borough Council more than £10m so far, the authority has revealed.
The council says the crisis has meant it has had to deal with an “unprecedented” financial shortfall and that government grants will only offset part of the losses.
In an interim budget report to be seen by the authority’s cabinet tomorrow, director Nick Edwards says the council will look to borrow funds to cover the losses and warns a second lockdown would only make things worse.
He writes: “Current projections anticipate the council will face income losses and cost overruns of circa £10.1m in the current year alone and there is a risk this position could deteriorate further if additional local or national lockdown measures are imposed in the remainder of the year.
"A proportion of this shortfall will be funded through government grant, however the council will still be required to manage an unprecedented level of residual budgetary shortfall within the year."
The biggest shortfall from the council came from car parking, with more than £2.3m lost when the country went into lockdown.
Since the easing of restrictions, car park income has got back on target, which if this were to continue through the end of the year would reduce the debt by a further £859,000.
However, the council’s report was written before the new 'rule of six' restrictions were announced.

Pupils and teachers in Year 4 at Filey Junior School have been told to self-isolate after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus, it's been confirmed.
The school is shut to Year 4 pupils from today, with pupils and staff in the year group "bubble" affected being asked to isolate for 14 days.
The school remains open to other year groups.
In a letter sent to parents, which has been seen by the BBC, the school says pupils and teachers in different "bubbles" don't mix with each other, so the situation only affects the "bubble concerned and not the whole school".
The letter goes on to say: "This is an uncertain time for us all, but I would urge you to remain positive.
"Please be assured the school is thoroughly cleaned every evening and children are instructed on regular hand washing and keeping safe throughout the day," the letter adds.
In a statement, Dr Lincoln Sargeant, North Yorkshire’s director of public health, has said it is "important to note this is not an outbreak but one positive case".
"We expect from time to time there will be positive cases affecting teachers, parents or pupils. This may be reflective of the background increase in cases across North Yorkshire.
"We will work with each school individually to determine the best approach to take depending on the circumstances," he adds.

Social distancing signs are to be removed from South Yorkshire's Supertram network from today following an increase in the number of people using the service, it's been confirmed.
When the coronavirus lockdown started in March, Supertram, which serves Sheffield and Rotherham, took many of its seats out of action and put signs on the remaining seats asking people not to use them.
But the company says more people are now catching the tram so it needs to make more seating available.
A spokesperson for Supertram said: “As more people return to workplaces and education, we've reviewed how best to provide the safe capacity needed for customers on our trams.
“From today, we will be moving to a near full service and putting in place revised social distancing arrangements consistent with the government’s 1m+ guidelines.
“The changes will mean labels which currently recommend where seats should not be used will be removed."
The spokesman added: “Passengers should continue to be considerate to others, respect social distancing, wear face coverings as required and to follow advice around handwashing before and after travel."
Passengers are also being advised by the company to "avoid busier times where possible".

Sheffield could be at risk of a local coronavirus lockdown if infection rates continue to rise at the current level, the city's director of public health has said.
Sheffield has been placed on the government's watchlist as an "area of concern", which means increased monitoring of cases and potential additional steps if the infection rate does not start to fall.
The city's director of public health, Greg Fell, says: "If rates continue to rise as they are rising for the next two to three weeks I do think we could be in that space.
"We won't be alone in that space, because a significant chunk of northern England is also increasing at about the same rate.
"None of us want to be in the space of an imposed lockdown because it would harm our economy and nobody thinks that's a good thing."
