The community artwork in Sheffield's Ponderosa Park was created by students and funded by the city's universities.

Police say the 6ft (1.8m) tall installation was destroyed on the night of 21 August in what they believe was a deliberate attack.

Sgt Adam Wood said the force was reviewing CCTV to try and identify those responsible.

“Acts like this are just incredibly frustrating for everyone involved.

The TransPennine Express depot behind Seamer Road opened in 2019 to provide maintenance, including refuelling, to the train company’s fleet.

Since it opened residents have complained it has brought disruption and noise, especially in the early morning.

After discussions with Scarborough Borough Council the company has agreed to no longer use the depot for overnight storage of its rolling stock, which will be maintained and refuelled at Manchester instead.

The final train into Scarborough will be shut down and not restarted until the following morning.

Paul Staples, fleet director for the company, said: "We’ve now introduced some operational changes to the way we use our trains at Scarborough, to reduce the level of noise experienced by residents living close to our depot."

He said they were looking at plans for how to use the depot in the future.

It would mean students would have to commute to Hull or Beverley to do their A-levels in future.

A report to the East Riding Council's cabinet states the vast majority of students have sought places elsewhere for several years, reducing the school's ability to offer a wide range of subjects.

The school took the decision to enroll no Year 12 students in September 2020 and no places have been offered for September 2021.

The council is being asked to support the governing body’s request for an age range change to end post-16 education at the school.

Leeds coach Marcelo Bielsa has been keeping a close eye on James ever since the Welshman's move to Elland Road from Swansea collapsed in January 2019.

James subsequently joined United that summer and has scored nine goals in 74 appearances for the Red Devils.

Leeds were thinking about making a move during the last summer window but brought in Brazilian Raphinha instead.

It is understood a fee has been agreed in principle, with only the final details remaining to be completed.

The fee would be a club record for the West Yorkshire side, eclipsing the 29m euro (£24.8m) they paid Valencia for striker Rodrigo 12 months ago.
