  1. Complaints over delay in recycling collections

    Has your recycling been collected since Christmas? Mine was only collected on Tuesday, but for some people in Leicester it still hasn't.

    There have been a number of complaints of orange bags being left on the streets.

    Extra recycling collections will be carried out today by the waste firm Biffa, who have apologised.

    They blame the delay on a large amount of recycling they had to collect over the festive season.

  2. Travel: Flooding affects roads in Leicestershire

  3. Travel: Accident, traffic light failure and recovery work

    If you're heading out of the county and into Warwickshire this morning this could affect you.

    The A444 Roanne Ringway in Nuneaton is partially blocked and there's slow traffic at the B4102 Queen's Road junction, because of an accident, a traffic light failure and recovery work.  

  4. Weather: A chilly start with some afternoon sunshine

    It’s a chilly start this morning with some patchy frost. The cloud will thicken up quickly and there will be a few showers creeping in through the morning but these won’t be as heavy or persistent as yesterday and they will clear through by the afternoon.

    It will be a dry afternoon with plenty of sunshine. The winds will be lighter and temperatures will peak at 7C (45F).
