    The judge told the jury they must be sure that she "assaulted" her niece Phoebe Guo "in some way that caused injury to the brain then her death".

    Police have made another appeal for information, external to help with the investigation into the murder of Kiran Daudia in Leicester.

    The body of the 46-year-old woman was found inside a suitcase in an alleyway on Cromer Street on Tuesday.

    Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the area of Lyme Street and Cromer Street on Monday afternoon/evening.

    West African leaders are in Gambia to try to persuade Yahya Jammeh to cede power to his elected successor.

    Sharon Jervis from Market Harborough helps to run a school in Gambia and is the founder of the Gambian Children's Fund. 

    She said: "All the businesses have closed, all the lines of communication are shutting down. I pray there won't be conflict, but I think there probably will be. He doesn't want to step down and he's going to fight to hold his seat."
