I taught for 30 years in a secondary school and found the summer holidays a life saver - only way I could get up to date with lesson plans, coursework marking etc. It was really only 4 weeks for me as I had to be in school when the A level and GCSE results came out and spend time analysing them and sorting groups for the next year."

Kelly Noble wrote: "We only had the 5 weeks and i couldve done with the extra week to be fair...didnt want them to go back...although my daughter couldn't wait to get back.x"

Caz Gatenby added: "I can see both sides. My daughter loved the 6 weeks and still didnt want to go back. My boy (who is autistic) was ready to go back after 2 weeks and is now struggling to get back into the 'school routine'. Can't please all of the people, all of the time."
