Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough says his side looked a "little bit shellshocked" at half-time as they were 3-0 down to Aston Villa by then.
The visitors eventually won 4-0 with the Brewers conceding four or more goals for the third time this month in cup and league, after a 5-0 loss to Leeds United and 4-1 to Manchester United.
