Police are appealing for help in tracing a missing 15-year-old girl from North Yorkshire.

Annabelle Addison, from Scarborough, hasn't been since since about 21:00 on Saturday night.

Police believe she doesn't have any money or a phone and think she may have left with a boy on a train.

It's thought she has links with the Leicester, Northampton, West Midlands and Merseyside areas.

She's described as white, of slim build, fair skinned, with very dark long straight hair which is usually scrunched up.

Annabelle speaks with a southern accent and when she was last seen she was wearing a blue jumper and a black jumper, pink Mini Mouse pyjama bottoms with grey jogging bottoms over the top, a black Superdry jacket and black and white Adidas trainers.

The 29-year-old from Lincoln crashed in Treswell, near Retford, early yesterday morning.

Nottinghamshire Police said he died at the scene.

Police investigating a hit-and-run in Eyres Monsell this morning have found the car involved.

The pedestrian remains in a critical condition in hospital following the crash in Thurcroft Road at about 11:45.

The black BMW X5 has since been found abandoned in Glen Rise and the area has been cordoned off for investigations.

A band of rain will continue to move eastwards this evening.

Any remaining thick cloud will clear south eastwards first thing in the morning.

Nottinghamshire Police , externalarrested the man in High Street in Ruddington today.

He remains in police custody.

A new exhibition commemorating the 200th anniversary of the executions of rebels who led Britain's last armed revolution has opened at Nottingham's Central Library.

About 400 men from Pentrich in Derbyshire marched to Nottingham plotting to overthrow the government but were captured by troops before they could reach London.

In November 1817 three leaders were hanged outside the old jail in Derby.

It became known as the Pentrich Revolution.

A man has pleaded guilty to trafficking five people into the UK with a view to exploiting them.

At Derby Crown Court Miroslav Bily admitted five counts of arranging or facilitating the travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

The 51-year-old, from Sinfin Lane in Derby, brought the five men to the UK from the Czech Republic. They were employed in a garage, restaurant or did painting and decorating. Bily gave them nothing, or next to nothing, in cash.

He will be sentenced at Derby Crown Court on 11 December.

A football supporter has been banned from matches for five years for racially abusing an opposition player.

Christopher Boyes, 32, a Derby County supporter, admitted shouting racist abuse at a Brentford player during the Rams match at Griffin Park in September.

At West London Magistrates' Court, Boyes, of Totton, Southampton was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and told to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.

PC Roger Brown, from Derbyshire Police's football unit, said: "I was on duty at the fixture and was saddened and abhorred to hear that a so-called Rams fan had racially abused a player.

"Derby County prides itself on its multi-faith and cultural fanbase and this kind of behaviour has no place in society, never mind a football ground."

Leicester may be without Telusa Veainu and three other Tonga internationals for two Premiership matches.

A man claiming to be from the RSPCA took the dead cat after a passer-by found the animal dying in a street.

The fire service believes an attack on crews in Leicester over the weekend was set up as a "trap".

They were responding to a report of a motorbike fire in the Braunstone area of the city but when they arrived they had missiles and fireworks thrown at them.

Dan Fathers is one of the firefighters attacked.

This was the second time firefighters were attacked in Leicester over the Bonfire Night weekend following a similar incident in the Thurnby Lodge area.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said their firefighters are subject to these attacks "every year" but have previously decided not to report them.

They said it's becoming a "national issue" with other fire and rescue services reporting similar attacks.

A man has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after a hit-and-run in the Eyres Monsell area of Leicester.

It happened at the junction of Thurcroft Close and Hillsborough Road at about 11:45.

Police have closed the road "to allow a thorough investigation to take place". They've said work is also being done to find the vehicle involved.
